As a Nursing Operations Manager, you will support the growth, development and advancement of nurses through their career, allowing you to make a difference in the lives of both patients and caregivers at a leadership level.
A caregiver in this position works PRN (as needed) variable shifts. Must work a minimum of 48 hours in a six-week schedule.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Identify and ensure appropriate placement, facilitation and expedition of all patient flow transactions, including direct and emergency patient admissions and transfers.
- Address significant patient issues and staffing needs throughout the house and make modifications to ensure equitable staffing arrangements throughout the hospital.
- Communicate changes with relevant leaders.
- Manage the patient experience trans-organizationally to optimize all resources to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Three years of experience in an acute care setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red Cross
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- One year of management experience
- Critical Care/emergency room experience
- Leadership experience
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent walking, standing, sitting.
- Manual dexterity, corrected vision, hand and eye coordination.
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
