JOB SUMMARY:
Provides support and assistance to the HR Department.
ESSENTIAL/CORE JOB-SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for filing and overall maintenance of the HR file room. Ensures that the area in the file room is kept neat and organized. Ensures that files are in the correct cabinets. Moves inactive files to appropriate filing cabinet.
2. Covers the front desk in absence of full-time HR Specialist.
3. Participates in job fairs with HR Recruiter.
4. Posts positions on various job boards (i.e. TalentHub, local schools, Indeed, Zip Recruiter, etc.).
5. Assists with preparing packets and compiling paperwork for new hire sign-on.
6. Checks in with supervisor when assigned daily tasks are complete.
QualificationsEducation/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college preferred.
- Professional HR experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required Bachelor’s Degree.
- Two years human resource or professional office experience preferred.
- Proficient in Word/WordPerfect and Excel preferred.
Licensure or Certification:
- Professional certification in human resources preferred.
- Must possess current, valid driver’s license and maintain Apalachee Designated Auto Driver status.
Skills Required
