What Radiology contributes to Cardinal Health
Diagnostic Imaging uses advanced technology to create images of internal body structures, helping to assess clinical conditions and support diagnosis and treatment. This includes CT scans.
This is a PRN position to help with weekday coverage needs in the clinic.
Responsibilities
Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients’ internal organs and tissues
Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
Perform regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes
Sterilize radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients
Correctly interpret doctors' written scanning instructions
Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
Explain scanning procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required
Other duties as needed by the facility
Qualifications
0 – 2 years of experience, preferred
Associate's degree in radiologic technology
Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology, preferred
Certified by the American Registry of radiologic technologists (ARRT) in computed tomography (CT)
Licensed with Florida Board of Radiologic Examiners
Phlebotomy experience, preferred
Ability to work a flexible schedule
