Pay Rate:  $30 - $38 per hour

As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you’ll provide exceptional services within Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, and Memory Care residents. This role will foster a positive, supportive environment for residents, families, and team members on a PRN basis.

What you'll do:

1.    Helps with the maintenance and accuracy of records in regard to patient care for all patients on personal case load.
2.    Responsible for the correct reporting of billing information of Occupational Therapy in regard to all patients on personal case load.
3.    Assists the registered Occupational Therapist in carrying out procedures and programs.
4.    Performs routine treatment procedures in accordance with the planned program.
5.    Modifies treatment approaches and adapts intervention environment, tools, materials, and activities reflecting the changing needs and according to the individual and his or her social cultural context under the supervision of an OTR.
6.    Reports any pertinent findings to the registered therapist.
7.    Participate in development and presentation of in-services for the facility as requested.
8.    Perform clinical functions: screens, following of treatment plans, and delivery of treatment in accordance with facility, Medicare, and policies and procedures.
9.    Terminates services formulating discontinuation and follow-up plans when maximum benefit is received under the supervision of an OTR.
10.    Participate in meetings regarding patient care as appropriate.
11.    Assist when appropriate with any community education and public relations activities of the facility.
12.    Maintains a high standard of resident care.  
13.    Responds immediately to all crisis and/or calls for assistance.
14.    Actively participates in in-services, department meetings and continuing education.
15.    Communicates with patient’s physician/family as necessary regarding patient’s progress, treatments, etc., in consultation with the supervising Occupational Therapist.
16.    Responsible for the coordination and cooperation with other staff members in carrying out the treatment plan as established.
17.    Contributes to program planning and development in collaboration with an OTR.

Who you are:

Graduation from an approved and accredited therapist program. Sedentary tasks related to job – approximately 10% Physical tasks as listed – approximately 90%. Physical tasks as listed – approximately 90%. CPR certified. Licensed by the State in the designated geographic area in his/her respective therapy profession
