For every trade agreed, every new product launched or market entered, Operations develops the processes and controls that makes business flow.
PWM Operations in Zurich directly supports all the PWM clients of GS Bank AG (Switzerland) working closely with the local PWM Business teams based in Zurich as well as other PWM teams globally. As part of PWM Operations in Zurich, you will gain the opportunity to be an essential member of a high performing team in Switzerland, and build your network and contribute to PWM Operations globally.
Job Summary & Responsibilities
- Partner closely across the PWM Business & our global network to respond to client requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform client payment due diligence functions to the highest standard to safeguard our clients’ funds from external fraud risks.
- Work with PWM Business and External Counterparties to seamlessly run Security Transfers for PWM clients in various markets, and build your understanding in custody structures.
- Reconcile incoming client cash and work with Agent Banks to run the bank’s Treasury function and support flawless execution of high focus client transactions.
- Participate in global projects across PWM Operations to drive the strategy of your functions and make a difference.
- Be entrepreneurial - you will be encouraged to share your thoughts on how to develop and improve processes.
- Leverage your risk & control mind-set to regularly review operational processes to mitigate risk and identify opportunities to further strengthen the control environment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of relevant work experience in financial services, within Operations - ideally with experience in Treasury functions, Asset Transfers and/or Custody related Services.
- Proven analytical skills, problem solving ability
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Aptitude for building relationships and ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal partners with differing levels of product or process experience.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite in particular Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
- Fluency in spoken English language and professional writing are essential (German, Spanish, Italian, or French skills an advantage)
- Energetic, flexible, positive, diligent, organized, committed to teamwork & excellence.
