Working at Brex allows you to push your limits, challenge the status quo, and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the industry. We’re committed to building a diverse team and inclusive culture and believe your potential should only be limited by how big you can dream. We make this a reality by empowering you with the tools, resources, and support you need to grow your career.

Partnerships at Brex

The primary focus of the Partnerships team at Brex is to drive new revenue. We originate, launch, and scale partnerships across emerging distribution channels, embedded models, and other strategic bets that accelerate Brex's growth trajectory.

As Brex nears $1B in revenue, we are building a best-in-class Partnerships organization grounded in clear priorities and disciplined execution. Every member of our team directly contributes to top-line growth by expanding Brex's reach across key ecosystems, from technology platforms to financial sponsors and investment firms who influence large customer networks.

Within Business Development, the Private Equity Channel team is responsible for building partnerships with PE firms to drive new customer growth, generate pipeline, and increase engagement and monetization of existing customers.

Over the past 12 months, Brex's PE channel hit an inflection point, turning Tier 1 private equity firms into active referral sources for their portfolio companies due to demonstrable ROI. That model was proven through consistent in-market presence: dinners, conferences, events, and the trust that compounds across repeated value-added touchpoints.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will support Brex’s Private Equity channel across two core workstreams: business development and value creation. You will build targeted outbound campaigns that generate top-of-funnel meetings and qualified pipeline, while helping prepare for and follow up on partner conversations through data analysis, case studies, and portfolio company insights. Working closely with the Private Equity lead, Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, and data partners, you will build the skills to manage your own book of PE partners over time. You may attend select industry events for exposure, but event planning and ownership are not core responsibilities.

Where You'll Work

This role will be based in our San Francisco office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of three coordinated days in the office per week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work!

Responsibilities

  • Generate top-of-funnel meetings and qualified pipeline through thoughtful outreach, first-touch ownership, and meaningful follow-up
  • Support PE partner meetings by pulling data from Hex, analyzing portfolio company activity in Excel, and creating case studies and materials in Google Slides
  • Partner with Account Executives on live PE-backed opportunities by gathering deal context and crafting relevant updates or messaging for PE firms
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to identify and pursue value-creation opportunities across PE portfolio companies, including expansion and upsell opportunities
  • Track campaign and partner performance, surface market insights, and propose new segments or outreach strategies while managing priorities and delivering follow-ups

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in an SDR/BDR, Customer Success, PE sourcing or associate, or other client-facing business development role
  • Experience building outbound prospecting campaigns, researching target contacts, writing email sequences, and setting meetings; quota-carrying experience is a plus
  • Strong commercial judgment and presence, with the ability to communicate credibly with senior finance and operating executives
  • Proficiency in Excel and comfort pulling, interpreting, and organizing data from tools such as Hex or similar analytics platforms
  • Ability to translate data into clear case studies, insights, and presentations using Google Slides or PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including concise and compelling outreach
  • Strong prioritization, organization, and follow-through in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; a finance, economics, business, or related background is a plus

Compensation
