Lending Solutions powers the global lending market.  We provide solutions, data and services across the entire lending eco-system for private and public markets with a global team that has deep subject matter expertise and a strong desire to foster our client’s success.

Responsibilities and Impact:

Private Credit Commercial Strategy team member will support the team leading our strategy across Lending Solutions and (Private) Markets.  Role will be responsible for supporting P&L and customer engagement, as well as collaborating with product development and marketing, and the overall business strategy.  The role will require helping to implement new solutions across Private Credit and Lending Solutions, more broadly.  Opportunity to participate as a thought leader and attend industry events, partnering with sales new business engagements, and working across both short-term and long-term priorities that will drive revenue.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with vendor partnerships, providing input for potential acquisition targets, and protecting S&P Global intellectual property.  

Regular client engagement and travel is critical to the success of this role including identifying client trends, enforcing commercial guidelines, and working closely with professional services stakeholders to support revenue growth and retention.

The role is responsible for understanding and contributing to the business vision and strategy to accelerate growth, price commercial opportunities, client engagement, client management, P&L management against targets, supporting and coordinating the development, and implementation of commercial strategies.   Must also support successful client implementations, transition to our operations teams, and ongoing monitoring of service metrics and support of our clients in region.  Required 3 days/week in the office when not traveling to visit customers, prospects, or operational teams.

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Business Vision – Collaborate on strategy definition and business planning in partnership with leaders and teams supported according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth.
  • The successful execution and delivery of projects associated with Private Credit and Lending Solutions, more broadly, along with defined business value.
  • Partner across teams to solutions that support the Private Credit market providing market insights, commentary, and research publications across the commercial team to deliver valuable insights to our customers.
  • Collaborate across stakeholders to ensure revenue and margin is achieved on client implementations, strategic projects, and professional services engagements.
  • Keep stakeholders abreast of initiatives, progress, developments and risk.
  • Commercials – Providing feedback and market knowledge in support of developing and implementing commercial strategies that keep up with industry trends. Representing business at various client events, industry conferences etc.
  • Contribute to the evolving a short- and long-term strategy for product development, market penetration, and competitive analysis that allows the business to maintain and grow its market leading presence globally
  • Support and contribute to a successful private credit strategy that meets the customer's bespoke needs
  • Understand the prioritization of key feature enhancements based on market conditions, revenue impact and client mandates/industry trends.
  • Travel required.

Compensation/Benefits Information:

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $149,031 - $209,100. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • BA degree required with a solid academic record preferred.
  • 7-10+ years of relevant experience within lending, private credit, private markets, operations, asset management, or similar. 
  • Familiarity with private credit and credit agreements.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines under time pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player with excellent time management skills
  • Project management skills
  • Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Diligent and intellectually curious, self-starter with a strong work ethic and drive to succeed and problem solve
