Overview:

We are currently looking for a Private Clients Account Executive to join the professional and welcoming team based out of the Orpington office in Kent.

Orpington offer high quality, specialist products to Personal and Commercial clients throughout the UK. We have sustained one of the highest customer satisfaction and retention rates within the industry by focusing on the precise needs of our clients.

In this position you will primarily be involved with offering and renewing contracts for Private Clients that typically include clients with significant wealth and assets that need bespoke as well as standard covers. As an Executive you will manage an existing book of business dealing with new enquiries to expand the company client base.

The company is looking to the future and prides itself on a market leading client service model and a long list of products providers and covers it can access. The office team is a friendly, caring and welcoming group of knowledgeable individuals.

The day to day:

  • Service designated clients, ensuring that they are retained, and the Company’s income is maintained/ developed, including client visits., passing files/ instructions to appropriate staff.

  • Strong working knowledge of the Private Client Insurance landscape, which should include exposure to HNW Portfolio’s, home, motor, fine art and jewellery/watches

  • Work closely with other Account Executives and Directors to provide highest standard service to customers.

  • Secure and arrange appropriate cover at renewal at a competitive premium, completing all relevant documentation/computer work.

  • Take instructions relating to the provision of insurance cover from clients and Account Executives when appropriate.

  • Give instructions to insurers.

  • Ensure mid-term adjustments and declarations are processed and records updated.

  • Handle the invoicing of all premiums due.

  • Check all documentation (i.e. policies and endorsements) for accuracy prior to sending to client.

  • Obtain quotations for any relevant new policies/renewals.

  • Maintain effective credit control on allocated cases.

  • Be conversant with Company Procedures manual and the requirements of the FCA Standards and Rules and to implement and maintain procedures as stipulated.

  • Be aware of market conditions and the strengths and weaknesses of competitors.

  • Visits to customers where agreed.

  • Monitor trends, analyse results and prepare feedback to senior staff.

  • Deal with any other client issues that may arise, referring to the appropriate person when the enquiry falls outside your own knowledge and experience.

Your Experience:

  • Requirement of at least 2+ years insurance broking experience.

  • Confident in handling quotation enquiries, renewals and midterm adjustments for various HNW/UHNW insurance policies

  • Understanding of insurance markets, products, wordings and options

  • Acturis insurance broking software knowledge is an advantage
