About the role
- An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Private Client Adviser to join a newly established team in Davy. In the role, the successful candidate will:
- Build strong, trusted relationships by understanding clients' goals, priorities and personal circumstances.
- Provide clear, compliant financial advice and develop tailored financial plans aligned to client needs.
- Review the client list to ensure that relationships meet defined minimum targets;
- Identify prospects with significant revenue potential, proactively pursue leads,
- Regular pipeline activity / management;
- Skilled business developer, adept at identifying and developing new business opportunities to ensure effective opportunity streams for new clients, assets and revenues;
- Highly skilled in engaging and influencing others to create and grow effective partnerships, both internally and externally, to drive new business performance;
- Grow new and existing business across savings, pensions and investment solutions using Bank of Ireland's/Davy Wealth propositions and platforms.
- Work closely with Bank of Ireland branch and Davy colleagues and bank partners to build effective referral relationships, pursue leads and support new business opportunities.
- Skilled in directing and managing (formally or informally) others involved in complex processes to ensure ultimate successful delivery of client advice and service;
- Expert in making informed transparent decisions, considering the broader/longer term implications for the benefit of client and business. They must also be capable of engaging, directing and managing others in this decision making process and the execution of any solution, gaining consensus and agreement and managing collective work to successful conclusion;
- Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Davy’s Risk Management Framework and internal Policies and Policy Standards;
- Take ownership for issues that impact clients, leading others where necessary to resolve them and proactively seeking opportunities to lead in develop business improvement (e.g. segmentation initiatives and projects) with the objective of identifying issues, solving problems and enabling breakthrough innovations as well as incremental improvements to the business and our client service;
What will make you stand out?
- You are client focused and take pride in delivering advice with integrity, professionalism and care. With circa 5 years' experience providing financial advice, including, some or all of the following: pensions, investment, protection, either within Ireland or outside of Ireland. Previous experience in a Mifid firm is desirable but not essential.
- You are organised and proactive, managing your time effectively while maintaining high standards of administration and compliance. You enjoy building relationships and working collaboratively with colleagues and referral partners. You are curious about economic and product developments and motivated to continue developing your technical knowledge, supported by structured training and ongoing professional development.
- You are comfortable using digital tools, including our Financial Planning tool and Client Portal, to enhance the client experience. You embrace new technologies and systems, adapting quickly to digital ways of working while ensuring all regulatory and compliance standards are met.
Requirements
About you
We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:
- Degree or Masters level qualification in a business, accounting, law, engineering or related discipline;
- QFA essential;
- Preference for successful candidate to either have the CFP or near completion of qualification;
- Membership of relevant professional networks;
- Additional relevant qualifications and level of expertise would be beneficial
- A strong client focus to ensure effective service delivery;
- A commitment to further education and continuous professional development;
- Significant portfolio management experience, directly managing client investments;
- Expert level knowledge of financial markets and investment;
- Excellent knowledge of the regulatory framework;
- A high level of initiative and determination with the ability to identify opportunities within the market;
- An exemplary team player capable of galvanising and leading a team from within as well as being highly self-motivated and independent self-starter who needs the minimum of supervision;
- Demonstrable ability to establish and develop excellent wealth management client relationships;
- The ability to manage risk and protect clients;
- Satisfactory fulfilment of minimum competency criteria as set out in the Minimum Competency Code.
