Job SummaryThis position is responsible for analyzing, drafting, and negotiating various agreements of the HCSC Privacy Office and is asked to opine to ensure HCSC is compliant with various federal and state privacy regulations. This role is responsible for supporting and on occasion driving key privacy initiatives and projects. This position is expected to analyze the applicable privacy laws, rules, regulations including HIPAA, and assesses the impact on HCSCS operations and processes. The individual in this role will collaborate with other members of the HCSC Privacy Office and stakeholders across the organization to resolve moderately complex privacy matters. This position is the privacy subject matter expert for HCSC when negotiating with customers, vendors, and other third parties.Required Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Legal AND 4 years’ experience in the healthcare industry OR 8 years’ experience in the healthcare industry.
- Knowledge of and experience interpreting federal and state laws.
- Knowledge of HCSC’s various functional areas and departments.
- Ability leading departmental or divisional projects.
- Negotiation, analytical, facilitation, communication, and presentations skills.
- PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- JD preferred.
- Experience with Drafting and Contracting.
- Privacy and compliance experience.
- Experience working with policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently.
- Conceptual understanding of technology systems and applications.
- HIPAA, Privacy, or Compliance certification such as the CHP, CHC, CHPC, CIPP, PMP, LSS, etc.,
- Effective communication skills specifically communications with leadership, external vendors, and customer partners.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Detail - oriented.
This is a Flex (Hybrid) role: 3 days in office; 2 days remote.

The compensation offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan subject to the terms and the conditions of the plan.
