About the Role/Team:

Seeking a skilled and motivated Privacy Engineer to help design and implement privacy enhancing technologies and ensure compliance and data protection. As a privacy engineer you will work cross functionally with legal, product, security and engineering to embed privacy by design in systems across Comcast 

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to embed privacy controls into the development lifecycle 
• Support efforts to identify and classify systems for the purposed of de-identification 
• Develop tooling and automation to help streamline data minimization processes 
• Assist in DevSecOps activities as it pertains release and deployment of Tonic.ai 

Skills and Experience We’re Looking For:

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security or related fields 
• 3+ years of experience in privacy engineering, data protection or software security 
• Strong understanding of privacy laws and frameworks (GDRP, CCPA, NIST Privacy Framework, etc) 
• Familiarity with privacy enhancing design principles and their practical application. 
• Familiarity with AWS and data architecture 
• Good understanding of DBMS technology, including SQLServer, MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as CIPT or CIPP 
• Experience working in regulated industries 
• Understanding of micro-service based architecture and serverless design
