About the Role/Team:
Seeking a skilled and motivated Privacy Engineer to help design and implement privacy enhancing technologies and ensure compliance and data protection. As a privacy engineer you will work cross functionally with legal, product, security and engineering to embed privacy by design in systems across Comcast
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to embed privacy controls into the development lifecycle
- Support efforts to identify and classify systems for the purposed of de-identification
- Develop tooling and automation to help streamline data minimization processes
- Assist in DevSecOps activities as it pertains release and deployment of Tonic.ai
Skills and Experience We’re Looking For:
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security or related fields
- 3+ years of experience in privacy engineering, data protection or software security
- Strong understanding of privacy laws and frameworks (GDRP, CCPA, NIST Privacy Framework, etc)
- Familiarity with privacy enhancing design principles and their practical application.
- Familiarity with AWS and data architecture
- Good understanding of DBMS technology, including SQLServer, MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CIPT or CIPP
- Experience working in regulated industries
- Understanding of micro-service based architecture and serverless design
