Primary Responsibilities
- Manage privacy requests by overseeing the intake, tracking, communication, and resolution of consumer inquiries, ensuring timely fulfillment and proper documentation.
- Support the privacy program by assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal privacy policies and practices.
- Administer privacy tools by managing and configuring the OneTrust platform, including integrations and workflow enhancements to streamline operations.
- Evaluate vendors and technologies to ensure new systems and partners meet privacy compliance requirements and align with program goals.
- Conduct data mapping exercises to identify, classify, and document the collection, use, and storage of personal data across the organization.
- Perform periodic audits of known PII data stores to verify proper controls are in place, and identify additional PII data stores as they are introduced.
- Participate in Data Privacy Impact Analysis (DPIA) by engaging in Agile rituals to flag features or changes that could impact the handling of personal data.
- Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) to evaluate the privacy risks associated with new projects, technologies, or initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders such as IT, Legal, and business teams to provide guidance on privacy considerations during project planning and implementation.
- Contribute to training and awareness efforts by helping develop and deliver privacy education programs for employees.
- Assist in incident response activities by helping investigate and respond to privacy incidents, including documentation and remediation support.
Experience & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as law, procurement, information technology, or business
- 2+ years of experience in privacy compliance or a related field
- Hands-on experience with OneTrust privacy management software or similar tools
- Strong understanding of privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA
- Proven ability to analyze complex privacy issues and develop practical, actionable solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve privacy-related issues
- Preferred: CIPP/E, CIPM, or other relevant privacy certifications
- Preferred: Experience in media, financial services, or technology industries
