The Role

Description: 

The role of the Principal Solution Architect is responsible for configuration and customization of the NetSuite platform, including related integrations. The individual will work closely with business and IT leaders to ensure proper alignment of NetSuite solutions with organizational goals and processes.  The ideal candidate will be solutions focused with excellent technology and functional skills. 

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Responsible for supporting and monitoring all developmental and operational aspects of NetSuite for the business. This includes maintaining high system availability, training team members, providing strategic direction, designing, and implementing workflows, searches and reports, process monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, and managing configuration changes 
  • Work with internal customers and partners to define strategy, scope, and work plans for software maintenance, enhancements, and customizations. You will be expected to play a key role in the technical and strategic NetSuite relationships across the business assuring alignment of business strategy and NetSuite capabilities. 
  • Collaborate with business leaders and serve as technical lead for the planning, design, and execution of NetSuite projects to enable the achievement of business objectives. 
  • Support end user requests for new saved searches, reports, KPI's, and dashboards. 
  • Provide internal, on-going system/technical support to users, including training and maintain proper system access for all roles. 
  • Responsible for the creation and optimization of existing custom code and scripts in NetSuite. 
  • Define, implement, and oversee a comprehensive regression test execution approach for all NetSuite upgrades. 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and standard operations procedures of NetSuite functionality, customization, and integration. 
  • Support and manage the change management and release process of NetSuite. 
  • Manage technical and strategic NetSuite vendor relationships, building a partnership that informs the technology roadmap and ensures escalations are addressed in an expedient manner. 
  • Educate internal and external audiences on NetSuite best practices.

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Accounting, or other forms of technical emphasis or equivalent academic experience combined with technical work experience. 
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with NetSuite administration – NetSuite certification preferred 
  • NetSuite Administrator level knowledge of roles, permissions, page layouts, custom objects, scripting, workflows, reports, saved searches, dashboards, and forms to manage unique business process requirements within NetSuite. 
  • Demonstrate understanding of the NetSuite platform modules (Order to Case and Fulfillment, Revenue Recognition, Procurement, GL, AP, AR, FA). 
  • Experience with ARM, SuiteBilling, VersaPay, Fixed Assets Management, Project Management, and Accounting 
  • Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high-pressure on-call environment with changing priorities. 
  • Experience with professional services organizations, including staffing and consulting 

 

Location: In office. 

Hybrid/Remote option may be considered with Management approval. 

 

Travel Requirements:  

10% travel (e.g. 10 % travel to differing locations, 90% of the time working from an office) 

 

Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position: 

Frequent:              Sitting, walking, eye/hand/foot coordination and repetitive motion. 

Occasional:         Standing and bending. 

Infrequent:           Lifting up to 10 pounds.
