Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide a team to evolve Dish's Hybrid Cloud Network and address virtualization needs.
  • Define and guide the evolution of Dish's Cloud Native Open RAN and 5G Core Cloud infrastructure.
  • Influence product roadmaps of vendors like DELL, Intel, AWS, and Broadcom based on industry trends.
  • Collaborate with various vendors to develop and optimize Dish's hybrid cloud hosting.
  • Drive RAN, 5G Core, and cloud vendors to adopt cloud-native practices and concepts.
  • Contribute to developing industry standards for automating orchestration and life cycle management of CNFs.


Skills, Experience and Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge on multiple cloud platforms including private (VMware, RedHat, etc) and public (AWS, Google, etc)
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Professional experience in VMware TKG, Red Hat OpenShift, Wind River or AWS EKS. WindRiver is a plus
  • Background in Linux administration
  • Knowledge of Nephio and ETSI NFV architectural frameworks and associated standards
  • Expertise in DevOps principles, CICD processes, and automation tools.
  • Experience onboarding and life cycle management of VNFs and CNFs
  • Telco product development experience
  • Knowledge and experience in RAN and 5G Core domains


Salary Ranges
Compensation: $127,050.00/Year - $208,725.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
