What we’re building and why we’re building it.

Fetch helps people live rewarded every day, with a vision to become the rewards destination for everyone. We turn everyday activities into meaningful rewards, whether it’s grocery shopping, grabbing a quick meal, or playing a favorite mobile game. To date, we’ve awarded more than $1 billion in Fetch Points to our users.

Each day, more than 13 million receipts are submitted on Fetch, providing visibility into over $212 billion in gross merchandise value. This creates the largest retail-agnostic, SKU-level view of household spending, powering Fetch as an outcomes-based advertising platform that helps brands acquire and retain lifelong consumers.

The Fetch app is available on the App Store and Google Play, with more than 6 million five-star reviews from a highly engaged and loyal user base.

It’s not just our users who believe in Fetch: with investments from Softbank, ICONIQ, DST, Greycroft, and partnerships ranging from challenger brands to Fortune 500 companies, Fetch is reshaping how brands and consumers connect in the marketplace. When you work at Fetch, you play a vital role in a platform that drives brand loyalty and creates lifelong consumers with the power of Fetch points. User and partner success are at the heart of everything we do, and we extend that same commitment to our employees.

At Fetch, we value curiosity, adaptability, and the confidence to explore new tools, especially AI, to drive smarter, faster work. You don’t need to be an expert, but you should be ready to learn quickly and think critically. We welcome learners who move fast, challenge the status quo, and shape what’s next, with us.  Ranked as one of America’s Best Startup Employers by Forbes for two years in a row, Fetch fosters a people-first culture rooted in trust, accountability, and innovation. We encourage our employees to challenge ideas, think bigger, and always bring the fun to Fetch.

Role Responsibilities:

Researchers at Fetch must be…
  • Endlessly curious. You never stop at the first answer. You ask "why" until you find the insight nobody else was looking for, and you stay current on evolving methods and tools because the craft never stops moving.
  • Expert collaborators. You are equally comfortable presenting to executives as you are running a synthesis session with a junior designer.
  • Master storytellers. You know that stories drive decisions. Your reports, presentations, and workshops make people feel the experiences of the user, not just understand them.
  • Big picture thinkers. You triangulate quantitative and qualitative data, connect findings across projects, and tie individual insights to broader business strategy. You see the patterns no single study would surface.
  • Resourceful. You thrive in ambiguity and match rigor to the decision. You can recruit your own participants, and spin up your own surveys.
  • Risk-takers. You're willing to challenge assumptions — including leadership's — and you'd rather surface an uncomfortable truth early than validate a bad idea late.
  • AI-fluent. You're already using AI to amplify your research, and you have a real point of view on where it earns its keep and where human judgment is non-negotiable.
  • Team-players. Our secret sauce is our team dynamic; we don't have time for egos.

By month 3 you will be…
  • Embedded within your product area and intimately familiar with the Fetch app
  • Having spent meaningful time with Fetch users — through observed sessions, prior research review, or your own intro interviews
  • Building working relationships with key PMs, designers, marketing and data analytics partners across Growth, and a clear collaboration model with your two research teammates
  • Understanding Fetch's business goals, how Growth connects to the broader business, and what's already known from prior research
  • Fluent in the Growth team's existing behavioral data: what's tracked, what dashboards exist, and what data is available to triangulate qualitative findings against
  • Having delivered your first Growth research study end-to-end, with findings that helped move a real decision forward
  • Identifying the highest-leverage research opportunities within Growth and developing an initial roadmap that reflects them

By month 6 you will be…
  • Owning the research strategy for your product area
  • Identifying through-lines across acquisition, activation, retention, resurrection, and referrals — connecting findings that no single project would surface
  • Influencing both project-level decisions and roadmap-level priorities
  • Mentoring designers and PMs to run their own evaluative research with the right guardrails

By year 1 you will be…
  • Recognized as a strategic thought partner by leadership and Fetch executives
  • Shaping how Fetch thinks about its users across the full Growth funnel
  • Having shipped foundational research that demonstrably changed product direction or business strategy
  • Helping define what great looks like for a growing research function: contributing to standards, repository, and shared practices

Minimum Requirements:
  • 8+ years of industry UX research experience, with demonstrated impact at a strategic level
  • Mixed-methods fluency: you've independently led both qualitative studies (interviews, usability testing, diary studies, concept testing) and quantitative studies (Maxdiff, behavioral data analysis, using inferential statistics, benchmarking studies)
  • Hands-on experience with statistical analysis tools (R, SPSS, Python, or equivalent) and survey platforms (Qualtrics or equivalent) — comfortable running your own analysis without depending on a data analyst
  • Comfortable owning your own research operations end-to-end: participant recruitment, survey setup, scheduling, etc.
  • Active, demonstrable use of AI in your research workflow, with a clear perspective on where it helps and where it doesn't

Preferred Requirements:
  • Prior Growth research experience
  • Experience communicating research to executive stakeholders
  • Experience democratizing research or building enablement programs for designers and PMs
  • Comfortable with working in fast-paced environments
  • Consumer mobile app, loyalty, or e-commerce experience
  • A background in psychology, anthropology, cognitive science, HCI, statistics, behavioral economics, quantitative social science, experimental psychology, or a related human-centered or quantitative field

Compensation: At Fetch, we offer competitive compensation packages including base, equity, and benefits to the exceptional folks we hire. The base salary range for this position is 207,403- $ 244,004. Discover our benefits and how our employees live rewarded at https://fetch.com/careers.

  • Robust Leave Policies: 20 weeks of paid parental leave for primary caregivers, 14 weeks for secondary caregivers, and a flexible return to work schedule.
  • Calvin Care Cash: Employees who are welcoming new family members will also receive a one time $2,000 incentive to assist employees with covering the cost of childcare, clothing, diapers and much more!
  • Flexible Work Environment: Collaborate with your team in one of our stunning offices, or you can work fully remotely from anywhere in the US. We’ll ensure you are equally equipped with the hardware and software you need to get your job done in the comfort of your home. (applicable for most roles)
