We are looking for an experienced UX researcher to join our insights team. As an insights expert, you will be responsible for helping define and drive the future of our products. You will reveal unmet needs and help prioritize opportunity areas by conducting exploratory qualitative and quantitative research, working with cross-functional teams. These responsibilities include understanding how customers perceive the product and the brand, developing research frameworks that can help prioritize product investments and inform product positioning. You will passionately advocate for user insights through oral and written presentations, and contribute to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and synthesize user research to understand user's needs, behaviors, and motivations
- Lead generative and competitive research to help identify new product opportunities, help shape product and marketing strategies, and ensure a delightful experience for our users
- Organize and coordinate global research work and cross-functional collaborations
- Integrate primary and secondary data into the insights process to develop a compelling point of view
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and execute research needs in a fast-paced environment
- Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research
- Represent the voice of the user and advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written and oral presentations
- Mentor and coach junior UX researchers on the team
- Use a diverse set of UX research tools
Requirements
- 10+ years of UX research experience in an end-to-end product or generative research setting
- Experience utilizing a range of qual and quant research design methods balancing rigor and speed (i.e. usability testing, contextual inquiry, journey mapping, in-depth interviews, surveys)
- Ability to perform all research-related tasks including research, planning, evaluating, iteration, and effectively share research results
- Experience leading research across the product development process, from discovery to delivery
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and act as a strategic partner in product decisions
- Experience with remote testing tools, survey design, managing research vendors
- A strong desire for creative problem-solving, tolerance for ambiguity, and excellent time-management skills
- Bachelor's degree or MS in Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field, or equivalent and demonstrable work experience
- Must be able to conduct research in German
