What You’ll Do
Collaborate closely with architects and engineering leaders to ensure the successful completion of projects by leveraging a deep understanding of software architecture and contributing to architectural decision-making processes.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Walmart, ensuring alignment on roles, responsibilities, and project cadences.
Define goals, stage gates, critical delivery paths, and key deliverables for large-scale programs that include multiple initiatives with dependencies across various workstreams, timelines, and resource constraints.
Drive efficient engineering resource utilization and delivery by simplifying and clarifying priorities, while creating plans with appropriate milestones to support advance planning and secure executive buy-in.
Establish a resource capacity allocation process and tool to transform and streamline the planning process.
Apply strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to effectively navigate setbacks or obstacles that may arise during program execution.
As a seasoned professional, bring expertise and passion for driving technical projects to successful outcomes, making a significant impact within Walmart Global Tech.
What You’ll bring
A bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.
Overall around 18+years of technical experience with 10+ years of leadership experience as a Technical Program Manager in software delivery within a related industry managing aggressive schedules and significant business impact.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team of technical program managers and engineers.
Experience supporting and executing a large software portfolio, collaborating with multiple business stakeholders.
Experienced in system/platform design concepts, architecture, technical design, services, APIs, and technologies.
Build positive relationships and collaborate with product managers to understand target personas and business process needs, which you will then translate into features and user stories that engineers will leverage to iterate products quickly.
Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a love for data and solving complex problems.
Expertise in change & risk management methodologies, project management tools, techniques, project tracking tools, dashboards, and reports
Strong communicator in both verbal and written forms and are equally adept in communicating upwards, outwards, and downward.
Deep understanding of JIRA, JIRA Align, Big Picture, Airtable etc.
