Would you like to join one of the fastest-growing, multi-national Internet of Things (IoT) companies in the world?

Good, because we're building something with real impact.

We're looking for an experienced Principal Technical Consultant to establish and grow a brand-new Technology Alliances function within Teltonika UK & Ireland.

This isn't a role where you'll inherit existing partnerships, customers or consulting projects. You'll build them.

We're looking for someone who understands how Professional Services organisations, Systems Integrators and Technology Consultancies create value for their customers, and who knows how to position technology partnerships that generate long-term consulting opportunities and commercial growth.

Teltonika is a global leader in Internet of Things (IoT), with over 25 years of innovation, operations in more than 27 countries, and over 2,500 employees worldwide.

Following the launch of our UK operation in 2024, we're continuing to invest heavily across our IoT portfolio. This newly created position will play a pivotal role in developing strategic partnerships with leading UK Professional Services organisations, helping position Teltonika's technologies at the centre of digital transformation programmes across multiple industries.

Reporting directly to the CEO UK & Ireland, you'll have the unique opportunity to shape the strategy, establish key alliances and ultimately build and lead a high-performing Technology Alliances team as the function grows.

Location: Salford, Greater Manchester, UK Head Office, Suite G2.1, Building 8, Exchange Quay, M5 3EJ, with regular travel throughout the UK & Ireland.

In this role, you will:

  • Build Teltonika's Technology Alliances function from the ground up, establishing strategic partnerships with Professional Services organisations that create new consulting opportunities and long-term commercial growth.
  • Identify, develop and grow new consulting opportunities by positioning Teltonika as the preferred IoT hardware partner within digital transformation, IoT and industry-specific solution portfolios.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders including Partners, Directors, CTOs and Heads of Digital Transformation.
  • Develop alliance-led go-to-market strategies that generate consulting engagements, joint pipeline growth and new revenue opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with partners to identify, scope and shape commercially viable IoT solutions and consulting opportunities.
  • Deliver technical presentations, executive workshops, architecture discussions and solution demonstrations.
  • Act as the technical subject matter expert across Teltonika's IoT hardware (routers, gateways, trackers, networking devices, telematics, etc.).
  • Support the development of Statements of Work, commercial proposals, value propositions and partnership agreements where appropriate.
  • Act as the bridge between partner organisations and Teltonika's Sales, Technical, Product Development and Marketing teams.
  • Provide market intelligence and partner feedback to influence future product development.
  • Support joint marketing campaigns, customer case studies, industry events and strategic partner initiatives.

You'll thrive in this role if:

  • You've built strategic partnerships with Professional Services firms, Systems Integrators, advisory firms, and solution providers.
  • You've identified, shaped and created consulting opportunities rather than just delivering technical work.
  • You've worked for a technology vendor, Professional Services consultancy or Value Added Reseller (VAR), where building strategic customer or partner relationships was central to your role.
  • You're commercially curious and enjoy influencing senior decision-makers.
  • You have a strong understanding of IoT hardware, connectivity, and solution architectures.

What we expect of you:

You'll ideally have experience in one or more of the following environments:

  • Professional Services consultancy
  • Technology vendor or manufacturer
  • Value Added Reseller (VAR)
  • Systems Integrator
  • Technology Alliances or Partner organisation

You will also demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in technology consulting, professional services, technology alliances, solution consulting or a similar partner-facing role.
  • Proven experience identifying, shaping and winning new consulting or professional services opportunities, rather than solely delivering or managing engagements secured by others.
  • Strong understanding of IoT hardware, networking, connectivity, industrial networking and solution architecture.
  • Experience building strategic partnerships with Professional Services organisations, systems integrators or consulting firms.
  • Experience helping generate professional services revenue through technical consulting, strategic partnerships or alliance-led opportunities.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling commercial value propositions.
  • Experience influencing senior decision-makers including Partners, Directors and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts and influence both technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify growth opportunities and develop long-term strategic relationships.
  • Comfortable working independently in a brand-new function with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout the UK & Ireland.

Sector expertise in one or more of the following would be advantageous:

  • Aerospace & Defence
  • Automotive
  • Aviation
  • Energy & Utilities
  • Engineering & Construction
  • Government & Public Sector
  • Manufacturing & Industrial
  • Shipping & Logistics

What we offer:

  • Competitive basic salary.
  • Flexible working around core hours.
  • Hybrid working.
  • Opportunity to establish, shape and ultimately lead an entirely new Technology Alliances function.
  • Exposure to one of the world's fastest-growing IoT manufacturers.
  • Genuine career progression into senior commercial leadership.
  • Professional development through structured career pathways.
  • Opportunity to work closely with international R&D and product development teams.

Benefits:

  • Free on-site parking.
  • 2-minute walk from Exchange Quay tram stop.
  • Free on-site wellness centre and gym classes.
  • Remote GP, counselling and physiotherapy services.
  • Life Assurance.
  • Enhanced annual leave plus your birthday off.
  • Pension scheme.
  • Cycle to Work scheme.
  • Employee referral programme.
  • Regular company and team events
