AI agents, digital workers, and machine identities are rapidly becoming part of enterprise systems, creating new challenges around authentication, authorization, governance, and auditability.
We are seeking a senior technical product leader to define and drive the strategy for machine and agentic identity across the Identity Platform. This role owns the roadmap for non-human identity capabilities, including how AI agents and machine identities are authenticated, authorized, governed, and managed at scale. You will partner with engineering, security, architecture, and AI platform teams to shape platform strategy, evaluate vendors, guide architecture decisions, and lead build-vs-buy recommendations.
There is no established playbook-you will create it. This is a 0→1 product opportunity for someone who can combine deep identity expertise, strong authorization knowledge, and enterprise product leadership to define a rapidly evolving space and influence how identity supports the next generation of AI-enabled systems.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Own the product strategy and roadmap for machine identity, non-human identity, workload identity, and agentic identity capabilities across the Identity Platform
- Partner with engineering, security, architecture, AI platform, and product teams to define platform capabilities and drive alignment across human and non-human identity domains through influence rather than direct authority
- Define how identity supports authentication, authorization, governance, ownership, accountability, auditability, and lifecycle management for AI agents and machine identities
- Shape identity platform strategy across authentication, authorization, governance, standards, observability, and interoperability while leading vendor evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and build-vs-buy decisions
- Translate an ambiguous, emerging problem space into clear product strategy, priorities, requirements, success metrics, and measurable outcomes for 0→1 platform capabilities
- Communicate complex identity and agentic AI concepts to senior leaders, technical stakeholders, and cross-functional partners
- Stay current on rapidly evolving identity, AI agent, and workload identity standards, patterns, and vendor capabilities
You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of product management experience in platform, infrastructure, security, identity, or similarly technical product domains
- Demonstrated experience owning product strategy, roadmap, and 0→1 delivery of enterprise-scale platform capabilities, including defining success metrics and measurable business or technical outcomes
- Demonstrated experience in IAM, CIAM, identity platforms, cybersecurity, or related identity domains, including authentication, authorization, identity governance, and modern identity standards such as OAuth, OIDC, SAML, and SCIM
- Experience evaluating technology vendors, leading proof-of-concepts, and making build-vs-buy recommendations
- Experience translating highly technical concepts into product strategy, priorities, roadmaps, and measurable business outcomes
- Demonstrated understanding of AI agents, agentic workflows, machine identities, or non-human identity concepts in modern enterprise environments
- Proven ability to influence engineering, architecture, security, and business stakeholders without direct authority
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with non-human identity, workload identity, machine identity, service identity, or agentic AI identity patterns
- Experience with IAM/CIAM platforms, identity governance, privileged access, federation, identity lifecycle, customer identity, or workforce identity domains
- Experience evaluating, integrating, or defining platform products and vendor capabilities for developers, application teams, security teams, or enterprise product teams
- Experience operating in enterprise-scale or regulated environments such as healthcare, financial services, government, or other high-trust domains
- Experience designing product strategy where human identity, machine identity, risk, governance, and AI-enabled systems intersect
- Hands-on familiarity with modern IAM, authentication, and authorization standards such as OAuth 2.0 / OAuth 2.1, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, SCIM, RBAC, ABAC, and policy-based access control
- Proven exposure to emerging workload identity or agentic identity standards and patterns, such as SPIFFE, secure service-to-service identity frameworks, Shared Signals Framework / SSF, or delegated authorization patterns
- Proven technical background in engineering, architecture, security, identity, infrastructure, or platform product management
