  • Perform thermodynamic and fluid‑flow analysis of air cycle systems, air‑conditioning packs, bleed air systems, PTMS, NGS, and related ECS subsystems.
  • Demonstrate strong expertise in VCS modeling and analysis through steady‑state model development, architecture trade studies, component‑to‑system integration assessments, and data‑driven design insights
  • Serve as the proposal technical lead, defining system performance baselines, assessing technical risks, and identifying value‑engineering opportunities for new business pursuits.
  • Conduct steady‑state simulations across environmental, load, and failure scenarios, and define system operating points, boundary conditions, and performance criteria aligned with aircraft requirements.
  • Generate clear engineering recommendations that support decisions for system architecture, component sizing, control strategies, and integration.
  • Support component and subsystem teams with analytical inputs, performance sensitivities, and system‑level impact assessments.
  • Interface with internal and external customers to present results, participate in technical reviews, and justify analytical methods.
  • Validate steady‑state models through correlation with test data and support verification and validation strategy development.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to advancing ECS modeling tools, methods, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with Honeywell engineering processes, aerospace standards, and program deliverables.
Qualifications

Qualfications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s or PhD preferred).
  • 10–15+ years of experience in aerospace systems engineering, thermal systems, or ECS‑related analysis.
  • Strong foundation in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
  • Proficiency with system‑level modeling tools such as VBA, Fortran, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in steady‑state system analysis, performance prediction, and trade studies.

  • Experience with aircraft ECS, thermal management systems, air cycle systems, or vapor cycle systems.
  • Familiarity with aircraft‑level requirements, safety analyses, and system integration.
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional technical efforts and drive analytical strategy.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying complex technical information to diverse audiences.
