Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Requirements and Verification Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in our Systems Engineering organization. This role is located on site in Rancho Bernardo, California, or potentially will accept support from El Segundo, California or Palmdale, California.
In this role, your primary roles and responsibilities will include:
- Supporting cross-IPT development of system and segment level requirements and use cases
- Implementing requirements verification methodology and traceability
- Supporting development of interface definitions and integration plans
- Conducting formal integration and support capabilities-based system level testing of fully integrated complex software and hardware subsystems
- Evaluating integration and test anomalies and assist disposition and correction of issues as found
- Performing requirements verification and selloff
- Providing support to flight test and fielded assets
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment, Action Oriented, Strong Attention to Detail, Communicates Effectively
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM field and at least 5 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master's Degree in a STEM field and at least 3 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a PhD and at least 1 year of relevant military / professional / academic experience
- Must have an active US Government Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
- Active USG Top Secret SCI clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)..
- Proven ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders.
- Experience in DOORS & Atlassian Tool Suite
