Position Description:
Conducts research, optimizes processes, develops systems, authors solutions, studies user stories, and writes specifications for complex software systems. Performs analysis of the legacy applications of mainframe, .net, Java, and facilitates modernization from legacy to cloud systems. Provides technical support to the platform and systems, with a focus on financial domain. Researches high volume of data in SQL server, DB2, Oracle and Postgres, and analyzes data using logging tools. Collects business requirements and distills them into well-defined requirements. Partners with technology teams in formulating software design and solutions, and system architecture in an Agile environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Works with business and technology partners to identify, review, define, interpret, and clarify scope of work in terms of business and/or system requirements and processes.
Contributes to the analysis strategy for technology projects culminating in the creation of documentation to support project needs.
Recommends changes to existing systems design to achieve requirements, and recommends designs for new systems based on requirements.
Documents objectives, use cases, requirements, and specifications.
Monitors documentation standards and best practices and mentoring associates.
Recommends traceability improvements.
Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope and works on multiple projects concurrently.
Works directly with the user community for project definition.
Communicates project plan information, objectives, and deliverables to the team.
Works on complex assignments and on multiple phases of a project.
Assists in defining analysis strategy.
Writes business cases for review.
Identifies and records risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions in accordance with project standards.
Participates in the review and validation of quality assurance test plans to ensure requirements have been met.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Systems Analyst (or closely related occupation) performing systems and data analysis in a financial services and banking domain.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Systems Analyst (or closely related occupation) performing systems and data analysis in a financial services and banking domain.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) extracting, transforming, and loading data to create clean and consistent datasets using Oracle, SQL Server, Mainframe DB2 or Snowflake; analyzing complex data sets to identify patterns and trends using SQL and Tableau; and creating custom SQL queries to extract and manipulate data using Oracle or Snowflake.
DE analyzing mainframe systems (Cobol, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS); and performing end-to-end service modernization by migrating to a distributed technology architecture using AWS or Azure.
DE analyzing and optimizing Salesforce CRM applications using Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, including end-to-end business process evaluation, configuration and customization using Lightning Experience, Flows, validation rules, and Apex; and performing integration analysis using REST/SOAP APIs and MuleSoft, user adoption review through reports and dashboards, and cost-value optimization.
DE analyzing business requirements, summarizing stakeholder inputs, and generating structured user stories and functional documentation, using Large Language Model (LLM)-based and Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies (including GPT-based and enterprise AI services integrated via REST APIs).

Skills Required
