As a Principal, Workplace Strategy, you will primarily provide strategy expertise on projects within in the New York studio, as well as support projects in other locations where required, representing and leading the workplace discipline for our Americas business. You will have a desire and drive to establish yourself while working closely with other discipline leads and their teams to ensure execution of our integrated methodology and drive the ongoing financial success of the business 

What you’re responsible for 

  • Work closely with the regional team and in country studio to develop and deliver world class workplace strategy, portfolio strategy and change management services 
  • Operate in line with the regional strategy, standards/practices, processes and technology solutions across the Americas for the Strategy discipline 
  • Innovative research, utilizing key tools and strategy models 
  • Undergo data collection and analysis in efficient and effective manner to provide excellent end user experience 
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key client organizations within People and Culture, Corporate Real Estate, Facilities teams, and the executive suite.
  • Work with strategists and Client Solutions to identify opportunities to promote and cross-sell other Unispace capabilities to increase strategy, design and construction opportunities with target clients.
  • Focus on driving faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of and proficiency with the changes that impact employees and their work experiences.
  • Lead/Support the design, development, delivery and management of client communications.
  • Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics and identify and manage anticipated resistance.
  • Highlight opportunities and barriers in the run up to achieving agreed milestones, proposing relevant solutions in all situations 
  • Collaborate across internal teams to enable the effective delivery of our Unispace methodology 
  • Strengthening Design outcomes and solutions by providing greater insight into the clients’ drivers for workplace change 
  • Support in conducting post occupancy surveys for clients 

How we’ll measure it 

  • Budget and project profitability targets are met 
  • Client satisfaction (NPS) in line with the America targets Client / Enterprise recognition for innovation which enhance brand and drive further sales opportunities, demonstrated increased awareness of brand amongst target clients.
  • Increase overall market awareness of our transformation and change consulting services.
  • Satisfaction ratings from internal stakeholders i.e. Enterprise, Client Partnerships and Design disciplines.
  • Evidence of team members working collaboratively to execute to deliver to the Unispace methodology 
  • Industry recognition for innovation 

Your experience & skills 

  • Thorough understanding of workplace research, metrics and strategy models, e.g. Activity based working, Agile working, etc. 
  • Experience in conducting quantitative and/or qualitative research 
  • Ten to fifteen years of relevant experience
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere
  • Forward looking with a holistic approach
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills

Base Salary $180,000 - $200,000/yr + Bonus & Benefits 

  • Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location
