About the Role
Support the development of AIA Singapore’s strategic plan, regular monitoring of key strategic KPIs and cross-functional strategic initiatives that drive ambitious long-term growth.Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide support for the strategic planning process by collaborating with division HODs (Head of Departments) to define their strategic priorities, focus areas & plans, ensure quality and timeliness of their submissions, including preparation of materials to facilitate reviews by EXCO and enable clear communication of the Strategic Plan.
- Independently lead identified key strategic initiatives by working with cross-divisional and workstream taskforce to evaluate, prioritise and drive key actions, develop change management plans, establish a governance structure with monitoring and evaluation cadences to ensure we achieve the target strategic outcomes.
- Work closely with division HODs and provide support in business performance analysis that enable meaningful discussion and formulation of strategic initiatives by EXCO.
- Monitor the progress of the key strategic initiatives as part of the regular updates provided to EXCO.
- Support the preparation of communication materials on the business performance highlights for the company that will be used for various purposes, such as results announcement, staff and agency events.
- Keep up to date with key market trends/competitors’ business performance, strategic initiatives and identify opportunities, which will inform the topics to be tabled at Strategic EXCO discussions.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Actuarial, MBA or other related professional qualification.
- Minimum 8 years of financial management / strategic planning experience / management consulting and a proven successful track record, ideally in a high growth business environment.
- Possess an in-depth understanding of the financial field, demonstrated experience in budget and profitability management.
- Strong understanding of insurance business management, ideally in the management of non-financial functions such as distribution, marketing, product development, operations or technology.
- Able to work independently and in a team, as well as being proactive and constantly striving for excellence.
- Able to communicate and influence effectively with individuals and teams at all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau), and programming language (e.g. SQL) to manipulate data and draw insights are desirable.
