Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal Specialist, General Finance. This position is responsible for the administration, configuration, maintenance and support of the E1 financial modules.  This role provides advanced functional support to finance users, maintains critical system configuration, develops reporting and data analysis solutions and participates in ERP implementation and enhancement projects. The analyst serves as a liaison between Finance and the Digital Technology team, ensuring system integrity, effective internal controls and efficient business processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generate financial and operational reports using tools such as Hubble and/or SQL to perform detailed analysis on large data sets.
  • Design, review, and evaluate audit reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper control over data changes in financial systems.
  • Perform ongoing maintenance of financial system modules, including chart of accounts, accounting instructions, address book records, program versions, reporting masters, UDCs, and related configuration areas.
  • Develop, update, and distribute departmental procedures, user guides, and documentation; maintain policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide advanced support to corporate finance leadership and staff on financial systems issues, enhancements, and project activities.
  • Assist finance users with system functionality, reporting needs, and troubleshooting data integrity or transaction issues; collaborate closely with IT when required.
  • Analyze and implement user and facility requests for system configuration or functionality changes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and appropriate organizational impact.
  • Coordinate communication across departments and organizational levels to gather information, secure approvals, and support financial systems decision-making.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Experience supporting ERP systems and managing large data sets.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Functional knowledge of JDE E1 Financial Modules or other ERP systems.
  • Experience with report creation.
  • Understanding of relational databases and data structures. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables.
  • Experience participating in ERP implementations, upgrades or system migrations.
  • Knowledge of financial business processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and/or Fixed Assets.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
