At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.

We are looking for a Principal Solution Engineer who will serve as a dedicated trusted advisor and proactive strategic technology partner for our customers in Financial Services. In this role you will work directly with C-level executives, data leaders, and engineering teams to influence the data, AI and technology roadmap while driving expanded consumption and adoption of Snowflake's AI Data Cloud platform. You will also serve as the technical customer advocate internally at Snowflake, working closely with our product managers and technical executive sponsors to ensure customer needs drive product innovation.

As a Snowflake Principal Solution Engineer you must excel at translating complex technical concepts into compelling business value propositions that resonate with executive stakeholders. You thrive in strategic account environments, have exceptional C-level communication skills, and possess the gravitas to influence technology roadmaps at the highest organizational levels. You are equally comfortable presenting to boards and CEOs as you are collaborating with engineering teams and advocating for customer requirements with our internal product organization.

In this role you will get to:
  • Present Snowflake's AI Data Cloud technology and strategic vision to C-level executives, translating complex technical capabilities into clear business value propositions that drive strategic decision-making

  • Work hands-on with our customer’s technical teams to architect sophisticated data and AI solutions while communicating business impact and ROI to executive leadership through quarterly business reviews and strategic planning sessions

  • Serve as the customer’s primary technical advocate within Snowflake, partnering closely with our product managers and technical executive sponsors to ensure their strategic needs influence our product roadmap and feature development priorities

  • Immerse yourself in the customer’s business model, competitive landscape, and strategic priorities to proactively identify opportunities where Snowflake's platform can accelerate their innovation and market leadership

  • Lead executive briefings, strategic architecture sessions, and board presentations that align technical roadmaps with business strategy and competitive positioning

  • Collaborate with Snowflake's Product Management, Engineering, and executive leadership to continuously improve our products based on strategic customer feedback and requirements

On day one we will expect you to have:
  • 10+ years of industry experience with significant C-level executive exposure and proven track record managing large enterprise accounts

  • Proven success in financial services is highly regarded, with the ability to balance the needs of the centralised architecture and engineering divisions with those of the organizational business units (Retail, Business, Institutional, Wealth, Risk)

  • Experience working with modern data technology (e.g. dbt, spark, containers, devops tooling, orchestration tools, git, etc.)

  • Deep expertise in cloud data platforms, AI/ML technologies (including LLMs, machine learning pipelines, and MLOps), data warehousing, and modern data architecture

  • Hands-on expertise with SQL, Python, and data modeling concepts, with ability to explain complex technical architectures in business terms

  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills specifically with C-level executives, including demonstrated ability to translate highly complex technical concepts into compelling business value propositions that drive executive decision-making

  • Proven experience working with product management teams to influence roadmaps, prioritize features, and drive customer-centric development through effective internal advocacy

  • Outstanding ability to conduct executive briefings, board presentations, and strategic planning sessions with senior leadership teams across technical and business functions

  • Strong track record of internal advocacy within technology companies, representing customer needs to product and engineering organizations while facilitating cross-functional collaboration

  • University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience preferred. Masters in Data Science or Business Administration is a plus

  • Experience facilitating C-level strategic planning sessions focused on data and AI strategy would be beneficial but not required
