Job DescriptionWhat You'll Do
You will lead the sales and technical adoption of the Experian Ascend Platform in Malaysia. Working with banks and other lenders, you will develop tailored solutions, lead complex SaaS opportunities, and strengthen pre-sales capabilities.
This is a senior individual contributor role reporting to the General Manager. You will collaborate across the business and have no direct reports.
What you'll be doing
Strategic Practice Development & GTM Execution
- Strengthen pre-sales capabilities across the Malaysian commercial sales team through practical frameworks, reusable resources, and use-case-led approaches.
- Partner with the sales team to identify opportunities, structure complex deals, and grow revenue across banking and alternative lending.
- Develop market-relevant sales materials by tailoring pre-sales and sales content for clients in Malaysia.
- Improve product-market synchronization by translating regional trends, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) regulatory changes, and evolving lender needs into platform roadmap insights.
Executive Selling & Deal Origination
- Lead consultative sales cycles with C-suite executives, including CROs, CMOs, CXOs, and Chief Data Officers, at Tier 1 and Tier 2 Malaysian banks and non-financial lenders. Help clients assess their operating models, identify transformation opportunities, and build support for enterprise-wide solutions.
- Develop new business opportunities by understanding client priorities and transformation needs. Create and progress opportunities across existing accounts and new markets, including before the formal RFP process.
- Develop evidence-based business cases by assessing the financial, operational, and strategic outcomes of proposed solutions. Present clear recommendations to executive stakeholders, bank boards, and procurement committees.
- Facilitate collaborative client workshops with client teams and Experian colleagues to explore challenges and translate client needs into practical, tailored solutions.
Solution Architecture & Complex Solutioning
- Present and sell the end-to-end capabilities of the Experian Ascend Platform across data, analytics, risk modelling, model deployment, data management, and decisioning. Use a consultative "land and expand" approach to recommend relevant solutions and support clients' evolving needs.
- Develop SaaS solutions that support operational transformation across the credit lifecycle, from data ingestion and risk modelling to decision management. Help clients modernise their infrastructure and bring new solutions to market using the Experian Ascend Platform.
- Position native Generative AI (GenAI) assistant capabilities to help financial institutions accelerate coding, automate model documentation, generate analytical insights, and simplify complex risk-decisioning workflows.
- Collaborate with client teams and Experian analytics specialists to develop and present modelling solutions. Lead technical discussions and demonstrations covering credit risk modelling in Python or R, automated ModelOps deployment, and real-time decision engines.
- Author technical proposals, system architecture blueprints, data-flow diagrams, and comprehensive RFP and RFI responses.
Business Process Optimization & Consulting
- Perform deep-dive Business Process Improvement assessments using business consulting tools and methodologies to identify operational bottlenecks for financial and non-financial lenders.
- Design and launch targeted, use-case-driven outbound campaigns in close partnership with marketing and regional sales leaders.
