Northrop Grumman Chief Information & Digital Office (CDIO) is seeking a mid-level Systems Software Analyst (experience level 3). This position will support work at the Northrop Grumman campus, located in Clearfield, UT. The candidate may be eligible for remote work, subject to company requirements.
Note- Candidates will be required to interview in-person for this position without travel reimbursement (local candidates are preferred).
Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Knowledge of Clearfield, UT business processes for the AS sector of Northrop Grumman
- Experience in managing data flow on a network level, as a System or App Administrator. Experience with server management, configuration management, license management, certificates and other IT system administration activity (app administrator).
- Knowledge of Oracle Sequel Servers, Linux Kubernetes and microservice systems
- Programming knowledge in Java, experience working with Rest API’s, Javascript, JSON and Spring framework
- Knowledge of Git and Bitbucket, file deployment and configuration management of servers or databases
- Ability to read existing code to troubleshoot and maintain functionality across upgrading systems
- Analytical skills pertaining to schedules, risk assessment, project tracking
- Basic knowledge of Solumina MES (an iBaseT product) and how it is used in the plant. Understanding of the need and use of Solumina integrations to Deltek Costpoint or SAP S4/Hana
- Support the management and troubleshooting of timekeeping integrations, Cognos/BI reports and other system support services
- Develop requirements for standardized processes across several Northrop Grumman plant locations, and aid in planning a governance model between the sites, including best practices for storage, emergency / disaster protocols, outages and recovery actions
- Familiar with Single Sign On (SSO) practices using SAML or similar
- Correct data errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities
- Establish standards for the development and maintenance of new and existing products that will interface with Solumina and provide value added to NG business needs
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, meet with team members and users to develop solutions
- Responsible to prioritize work, perform work independently and within a team. Ability to receive guidance from senior technical teammates
- Represent the organization to other business groups, provide sound technical understanding and commit to performance within the margins of the system capabilities
- Must be able to share a rotating schedule for ‘on call’ support over nights, weekends, and holidays with other team members
- Opportunity to travel and support system installations, test support, and maintenance for customer sites
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered minimally qualified for a level 3 position, you must meet the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Required: Either a Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) related discipline with 5 years of experience in Software Development or Applications Analysis; OR a Master's Degree in a STEM related discipline with 3 years of experience in Software Development or Applications Analysis; OR a PhD Degree in a STEM related discipline with 1 year of experience in Software Development or Applications Analysis
- Must have experience as a System Analyst or Applications Administrator (MES systems preferred)
- Must have experience with programing / coding in Java software language
- Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, a U.S. government security clearance as a condition of continued employment
Preferred Qualifications:

- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 5 years of experience as a Software Analyst in an aerospace environment, using the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) application tool Solumina or iBase-t
- Experience working at the Clearfield UT plant with knowledge of essential AS sector business practices
- Experience with ERP systems preferably Deltek Costpoint or SAP S/4HANA
- Experience with Database queries and Data mining using SQL
- Understanding basic networking, including subnets, routing, and VLANs; Cisco experience and/or certification
- Knowledge of Windows management
- Knowledge of Windows LDAP, VMWare, and SAN storage systems
- Knowledge of Powershell scripting
- Red Hat, Linux+ or similar certification
- Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools (HBSS/Solar Winds/Splunk)
- Experience with Certification & Accreditation process
- DoD 8570 Certification including a primary OS (Windows, Linux, Cisco)
- Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools
- Capable of completing assigned work with limited guidance / supervision
- Must be able to support the 24/7 operations environment and adapt to changing priorities based on mission need

Primary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
