Principal Software Engineer
Locations: Waltham, MA | Hybrid

SS&C Intralinks is a global technology provider of inter-enterprise content management and collaboration solutions. Its products serve the enterprise collaboration and strategic transaction markets, enabling the exchange, control, and management of information between organizations.
The Principal Data & ML Engineer will design, build, and operationalize machine learning platforms and pipelines. Lead the development of model lifecycle infrastructure, cloud-native ML workflows, and automate deployment processes while mentoring junior team members and promoting best practices in ML operations.

How You Will Make an Impact
- Build scalable, self-service ML model deployment pipelines.
- Design cloud-native ML workflows aligned with organizational strategy.
- Develop tools for model development, deployment, monitoring, and reporting.
- Create RESTful APIs for model lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and Engineers to operationalize ML solutions.
- Design and maintain deployment infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automated ML workflows.
- Lead methodology improvements and provide technical guidance to teams.
Required Experience
- Strong Python programming with frameworks such as Flask, Django, FastAPI, or Celery.
- Experience with ML SDLC, microservices, and production of Python/Java applications.
- Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Data Lake), Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Terraform, Splunk, Grafana).
- Familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, Keras, scikit-learn) and data/ML pipelines.
- RESTful API development and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Experience delivering scalable ML models in production and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Linux proficiency and software engineering best practices.
- Experience in Databases like Mongo, Postgres, Milvus, chroma, pinecone etc
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a quantitative field.
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
What Sets You Apart (preferred qualifications)
- Strong experience with Apache Kafka for building scalable, fault-tolerant, real-time data pipelines.
- Proficient in designing and managing Kafka topics, partitions, brokers, and consumer groups.
- Experience with Kafka ecosystem tools such as Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, and Schema Registry.
- Strong experience with Apache Flink for real-time stream and batch data processing.
- Expertise in building stateful stream processing applications using Flink DataStream and/or Table API.
- Experience with event-time processing, windowing, watermarking, and handling late/out-of-order events.

Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.Massachusetts: The expected base salary for the position is between 150,000 USD to 160,000 USD.
