Primary Responsibilities
Candidate will support advanced technology radar programs including development of software for high-speed data acquisition, distribution, and real-time processing; integration of COTS and custom technologies into sensor systems; field testing of RF sensors and systems; and deployment of advanced sensor systems.
In this role you will mentor other software engineers in embedded Linux C++ development, plan or evaluate software architecture updates, develop continuous integration pipelines and maintain secure development operations.
Basic Qualifications
Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited school with a strong demonstration of the skills listed below plus 12-15 years of experience in software development or Masters degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited school with a strong demonstration of the skills listed below plus 10-13 years of experience in software development.
Must have good communication skills for working in a highly collaborative lab environment.
Must be willing to perform technical lead duties in a software development team. This include helping other developers work through C++ issues and bugs including data corruption, deadlock, and object lifespan issues. Candidate must be willing oversee tasking, perform code reviews for merge requests, and participate in architecture decisions by applying past experience.
Must have excellent teamwork skills and possess and show good fundamentals in the following:
Modern C++ development
Real-time Linux and device driver development
ZeroMQ messaging and pub/sub frameworks
Unit Test development
Experience with GitLab or GitHub continuous integration pipelines
Experience working on a radar program with an understanding of how radar data matures from sensor data to tracks.
Must be a US Citizen and possess and maintain a Final Secret Clearance.
Must be a resident of Huntsville, AL or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidate with additional skills in the following is preferred, but not required:
MATLAB
NVIDIA CUDA GPU development / optimization
Experience with C++ math libraries like OpenBLAS
Experience with GitLab, Jira, gcov, lcov, Google unit test

Pay Range:Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
