The Principal Software Engineer will join the core Correlation team to drive the research, design, and implementation of cutting-edge, proprietary algorithms. This engineer will lead the development of the patent-protected "Correlation" engine, which is central to the Axonius platform’s data capabilities. The role requires strategizing and executing engineering efforts to achieve maximum scalability and performance, shaping the future of cybersecurity asset management technology.
Responsibilities
Algorithm Design and Implementation: Lead the research, design, and hands-on implementation of the cutting-edge algorithms and infrastructure that drive the Axonius Platform.
End-to-End Technology Leadership: Lead end-to-end implementations of new technologies at the core of the Axonius product, including conducting research and performing POCs (Proofs of Concept).
Architectural Strategy: Contribute architectural leadership and best practices to backend applications to ensure high scalability and performance.
Complex Problem Solving: Serve as a key member of the R&D team, solving and implementing complex engineering challenges using data.
Backend Development Experience: At least 5 years as a backend developer.
Core Programming Proficiency: Highly experienced with Python.
Distributed Systems Experience: Experience working with high-scale, big data, and distributed cloud-based architectures.
Database and Cloud Knowledge: Experience with NoSQL DB (e.g., Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra) and experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
Performance Optimization: Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving complex performance issues.
Messaging Queue Interaction: Experience developing software that interacts with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS, NSQ, Pulsar).
Networking Knowledge: Knowledge in networking, including networks architecture, tunneling, and common protocols.
Cybersecurity Background: Professional background in Cybersecurity.
Task Queue Experience: Experience with Celery.
