Autodesk Platform Services (APS) is a cloud service platform that powers custom and pre-built applications, integrations, and innovative solutions. It offers APIs and web services to unlock the values of our customers' Design and Make data, and connects custom and end-to-end workflows. It is an opportunity to work on the APIs and services that directly impact the millions of users of Autodesk products. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Engineering, we are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to be based in Pune. In this hybrid role, you will contribute to the development of the foundational platform APIs, that are the building blocks for next-generation design apps. You will be part of an Agile product team of engineers building world-class cloud software applications and services. You will work in a global organization and collaborate with local and remote colleagues from multiple disciplines like business, engineering, operations and support.This is an exciting opportunity to unequivocally help our customers build better and custom business solution, within and across disciplines and industries.
Responsibilities
- You will lead all aspects of software development, working to create and maintain the most reliable, secure, and high traffic service for our customers by leveraging cloud technology
- You will collaborate with software architects, product managers, and other stakeholders to iteratively transform high-level requirements into product enhancements that are delivered to consumers incrementally and continually
- You will contribute to software design and architecture by injecting your cloud expertise into the entire development lifecycle Improve the performance and productivity of your team by bringing in ideas and improve team processes and collaboration
- Contribute to improvements in the processes and deliverables that increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the team in responding to customer and business needs
- Provide technical guidance to both your team members and your project peers Thoroughly and accurately document and present your ideas and solutions to a variety of stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field or relevant experience 8+ years of hands-on experience with cloud services and applications 4+ years of experience leading a fast paced team and dynamic engineering teams
- Excellent experience with backend programming languages such as Java, .Net Strong problem-solving skills and capability to work on complex systems Experience in working in an Agile environment
- Experience in working with distributed team
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise with Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or GCP Expertise with data storages such as MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, etc.
- Passionate about building and motivating engineering teams Experience with driving organizational strategic initiatives
