Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Principal Software Engineer for its Phoenix, Arizona location.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, create, modify, and implement IT solutions and computer applications software to support our banking operations.
• Build modern, architecturally sound components, tools, and applications to meet mission-driven strategic business goals.
• Ensure implementation of quality of service characteristics including security, scalability, manageability, and maintainability of a distributed service-based framework to create or expand business and technical capabilities.
• Participate in adopting Agile methodology and adhering to best practices and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Collaborate and contribute insight to solution design ideation, ensuring the success of the product and adherence to enterprise architecture principles.
• Design, modify, and implement software solutions.
• Apply industry best practices to evaluate, correct, and prevent vulnerabilities during the software development process.
• Continuously monitor and enhance application performance, ensuring minimal latency and high availability for critical banking operations.
• Guide junior engineers and contribute to team development through code reviews, technical workshops, and best practice advocacy.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and champion initiatives that enhance productivity and customer experience.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives across teams.
Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Engineer, Computer Programmer, or related position involving software development for the financial services industry.
Must have 6 years of experience with the following skills:
• Querying, analyzing, and managing big data;
• Utilizing Python3, Java, JavaScript, Golang, and Angular, React, and front end frameworks;
• Applying knowledge of data structure concepts including linked lists, dictionaries, arrays, and custom object creation;
• Managing sensitive assets with AWS and Azure;
• CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins;
• Utilizing Bash and Linux; and
• Utilizing React.
May telecommute 1 day per week.
