Team Description
Join the Platform Experience team, a core group within our GPTO Engineering organization, where you will report to the Director of Engineering. Our team is on a mission to provide the unshakeable foundation of trust, security, and scale for the entire Anaplan ecosystem. We empower our internal developers and external partners to build with speed and confidence.
Your Impact
- Lead the technical vision and execution for our Platform Experience, spanning Product Security, Platform Management, and Data Integration.
- Architect and build the next generation of highly available, secure, and scalable services that form the backbone of our platform.
- Collaborate with architects and Product Partners to align implementation patterns with long-term direction
- Apply a product mindset to ensure platform solutions meet business and customer needs
- Set the standard for engineering excellence through hands-on coding, insightful design, and strategic guidance across our backend technology stack (Java, Kotlin, Go, .NET).
- Mentor engineers across teams through design input, code reviews, and best practice sharing
- Champion innovation in performance, tooling, and platform features
- Drive technical planning, shape our long-term strategy, and lead critical incident retrospectives to ensure continuous improvement.
Your Qualifications
- A seasoned software engineer with 12+ years of experience building and scaling complex platform, infrastructure, or data-centric systems
- Deep, hands-on expertise in designing and developing modern back-end applications (Java/J2EE) and distributed systems using RESTful APIs and event-driven patterns.
- Experience with K8s, public and private cloud; multi-region, multi-tenant topologies
- Experience with CI/CD, GitOps, and high-velocity release workflows
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Proven experience influencing architecture and platform strategy
- Passion for technical mentorship and elevating engineering culture
- Experience scaling systems under high throughput demands
- Ability to drive sustainable delivery without sacrificing quality
- Comfortable navigating globally distributed teams and asynchronous collaboration
