Position Description:
Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites to ensure product quality and release readiness using Java, Appium, Swift, TestNG, SpringBoot, and Mybatis. Builds client and associate facing Mobile/iPad Applications and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) using Swift, Xcode, REST APIs, SQL, and RestAssured. Ensures projects meet quality standards by providing technical guidance in planning, designing, and executing testing and developing procedures related to product quality on complex projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs code and formal reviews of application designs, business, and functional requirements.
- Reviews reports on software problems.
- Defines and implements quality process improvements focused on defect prevention.
- Ensures test environment reflects business requirements for test execution.
- Executes manual and/or automated test scripts for most complex projects.
- Ensures progress of all test activities against established project plans.
- Ensures execution of project regression test tasks.
- Mentors junior team members and provides technical guidance.
- Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
- Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.
- Maintains status of project and monitors activities of team members.
- Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.
- Provides technical leadership on analysis, design, coding, testing, problem resolution, and planning.
- Works directly with the user community for project definition.
- Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
- Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
- Recommends strategies and methods to improve test plans and test processes.
- Analyzes and reports overall test status and results.
- Identifies and resolves test issues.
- Defines and coordinates regression tests, and production verification and validation for future projects.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing, designing, and maintaining mobile applications using Swift, Java, Xcode, Springboot and CI/CD in personal investing and brokerage service environments.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing, designing, and maintaining mobile applications using Swift, Java, Xcode, Springboot and CI/CD in personal investing and brokerage service environments.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
- Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing functional testing and maintaining a regression suite using tools (Xcode, and GIT), frameworks (SpringBoot), and languages (Swift and Java) in a personal investment and brokerage services environment; and performing integration within a customized framework and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- DE performing quality assurance testing of mobile/iPad applications using Java/swift Frameworks Cucumber, RestAssured, TestNG, Java script, and Python; analyzing Agile JIRA stories; creating test cases in JIRA; executing test cases on simulators; creating defects and reports using JIRA-Xray; performing version control using git stash; maintaining release notes and documentation using Confluence; and performing story tracking using JIRA.
- DE testing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and REST Web services, using REST Assured and POSTMAN tool; generating custom regression reports for validating requests and API responses of JSON content, using Python Frameworks, Pandas and parsing custom data structures -- JSON -- using Java and Swift code.
- DE building and maintaining data mining scripts and complex SQL queries using Adobe Analytic tool; and writing complex SQL queries to validate complex data to support business requirements and provide quality services to end users on Adobe analytics database.
