About the role   

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the technical design and development of key client projects from our Munich office. In this role, you will be responsible for defining the full-stack software and system architecture, mentoring engineering teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality digital products. You will serve as a key technical authority within the company, collaborating closely with clients, project managers, and business development.

• Architectural Design: Analyse client business requirements and design scalable, reliable, and secure end-to-end software solutions, with a primary focus on the .NET framework and Microsoft Azure platform or any other cloud platform.
• Technical Governance: Provide expert guidance and solve the most complex technical challenges for multiple development teams across the full technology stack, from frontend to backend.
• Pre-Sales & Solutioning: Partner with the sales team to develop technical concepts, proposals, and effort estimations during the pre-sales cycle.
• Client Engagement: Act as a primary technical point of contact for clients, effectively communicating architectural decisions, and translating business needs into technical specifications.
• Mentorship: Coach and mentor senior and junior engineers, promoting best practices in software development, security, and cloud architecture.
• Technology Strategy: Identify and evaluate emerging technology trends, contributing to strategic decisions that shape the company's technical direction.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Significant professional experience in software engineering, with a demonstrable history of designing complex software architectures.
• Deep expertise in backend development using the .NET ecosystem (C#, .NETCore/6+, ASP.NET).
• Frontend Proficiency: Good command of modern frontend development, with expertise in at least one major JavaScript UI framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Strong, practical experience with Microsoft Azure services, including compute, database, security, and container services (AKS).
• Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and database schemas.
• Solid knowledge of system architecture, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with software security best practices and identity management solutions (e.g., OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Azure AD).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
• Full professional fluency in both German and English (written and spoken).

In dieser Schlüsselrolle übernimmst du die Verantwortung für die Definition moderner Software- und Systemarchitekturen, leitest und coachst Entwicklungsteams und stellst die erfolgreiche Lieferung hochwertiger digitaler Produkte sicher. • Architektur & Design: Du analysierst komplexe Kundenanforderungen und entwirfst skalierbare, zuverlässige und sichere End-to-End-Softwarelösungen – mit Fokus auf dem .NET-Framework und der Microsoft-Azure-Plattform (oder vergleichbaren Cloud-Umgebungen)
• Technische Führung: Du bringst dein Expertenwissen ein, um anspruchsvolle technische Herausforderungen zu lösen
• Pre-Sales & Solutioning: Gemeinsam mit dem Vertrieb entwickelst du technische Konzepte, Angebote und Aufwandsschätzungen in der frühen Projektphase.
• Kundenkommunikation: Du bist der zentrale Ansprechpartner für technische Themen, erklärst Architekturentscheidungen klar und verständlich und übersetzt geschäftliche Anforderungen in tragfähige technische Lösungen
• Mentoring & Coaching: Du begleitest Senior- und Junior-Entwickler in ihrer fachlichen Weiterentwicklung und förderst Best Practices in Softwareentwicklung, Sicherheit und Cloud-Architektur
• Technologiestrategie: Du beobachtest aktuelle Technologietrends, bewertest ihre Relevanz für unsere Projekte und wirkst aktiv an der Weiterentwicklung unserer technischen Ausrichtung mit

• Erfahrung & Architekturkompetenz: Du hast über fünf Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Softwareentwicklung – mit Schwerpunkt auf der Konzeption und Umsetzung komplexer Softwarearchitekturen.Qualifikationen und Fähigkeiten
