Platform leadership, SaaS acceleration and Ecosystem scaling are the 3 growth levers of SimCorp 2025 strategy and PaaS Operations plays a crucial role in this transformation journey by delivering excellence in client services by delivering a reliable, predictable, cost-effective operations service. As a platform and technology operations team, we also aspire to execute acceleration in standard processes to assist in the growth and efficiency of SimCorp’s SaaS business.
Why is this role important to us:
The Principal Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will proactively ensure the stability, robustness and scale of our services by automation, testing and engineering. The SRE Lead will also work alongside the development, architecture and service management teams, to ensure technical solutions are aligned to SimCorp’s architectural principles and designs, that deliver value to our customers as well as ensuring consistent monitoring, logging and alerting.
What you will be responsible for:
- Ensure service stability, reliability, and scalability of select clients’ environments.
- Enable driving automation, monitoring, and best practices across the team to streamline operations.
- Collaborate closely with development, architecture, engineering and service management teams to align technical solutions with company principles.
- Focus on process improvements and optimization, release, and change management.
- Simplify complex and manual processes through automation.
- Actively support a high-performance culture focused on elevated technical competencies.
Seeking an experienced SRE with a hands-on approach and a keen problem-solving mindset. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated to learn the intricacies of systems and is adept at swift and effective problem-solving. You’ll work as part of an specialized SRE sub team that is part of a broader global SRE team to ensure our services are stable, scalable, and optimized, focusing on practical experience over formal qualifications.
What we value:
- Significant hands-on experience in SRE and Azure DevOps practices.
- Proven knowledge sharing skills to guide and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in conveying ideas and working together with all stakeholders, including clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency with tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Azure.
- Skilled in logging, monitoring, and observability (Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Solid experience utilizing Git, Windows, and Linux containers, prioritizing hands-on troubleshooting and resolution capabilities above certification status.
Working shift: 10AM – 7PM or 3PM to 12 MD (on-rotation)
