Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for Principal / Senior Principal Test Conductor​ to join the team of qualified individuals on our Test and Evaluation organization. This role is located onsite in Melbourne, FL.

**This role may be filled at the Principal OR Senior Principal level based on the qualifications listed, below**

In this role, the successful candidate will support Pod Subsystems. The Candidate will execute both scheduled (preventive) and unscheduled (corrective) maintenance on a fleet of 20+ Pods in accordance with Government specifications, Technical Manuals, and applicable safety, hazardous materials, and quality standards. Candidate will provide support for all system test activities, including test planning, creation of required test procedures, posttest data analysis, creation of problem reports, and reporting on test results. The candidate shall display professionalism, leadership, have a strong work ethic, work well with others, and be able to function as member of the System Test Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual inspections, functional tests, and component replacements on Pods.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, repair, and verification activities to return pods to an “Operational Ready” (OK) status.
  • Maintain all required documentation in the Maintenance Execution System (MES) and ensure compliance with paint, HAZMAT, HAZWASTE, and nitrogen handling certifications.
  • Perform splicing, crimping, and shielding repairs on harnesses per MIL STD wire 001; verify continuity and insulation integrity.
  • Communicate findings, repair options, and estimated labor/resources to the Program Depot Lead; recommend corrective actions or engineering change requests (ECR).

Basic Qualifications (Principal):

  • Must have a High School diploma (or equivalent) AND 9 years of related professional/military experience OR an Associate of Science degree AND 7 years of related professional/military experience OR a Bachelor of Science degree AND 5 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master of Science degree AND 3 years of related professional/military experience
  • Must have an active U.S. Government Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs. 

  • Must have the ability read and interpret engineering work instructions and schematics

Basic Qualifications (Senior Principal):

  • Must have a High School diploma (or equivalent) AND 12 years of related professional/military experience OR an Associate of Science degree AND 10 years of related professional/military experience OR a Bachelor of Science degree AND 8 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master of Science degree AND 6 years of related professional/military experience
  • Must have an active U.S. Government Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs. 

  • Must have the ability read and interpret engineering work instructions and schematics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM Field
  • Proficiency with hands-on mechanical assembly, electronics testing, and electronics evaluation.
  • Current, active U.S Government Top Secret Clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
