Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
A Principal Seasoning Flavorist is a leader in seasoning creation at IFF. A Principal Seasoning Flavorist plans for the future by initiating technology development in seasoning applications, and contributing to strategy at a local, regional and global level, using a strong understanding of market needs. A Principal Seasoning Flavorist is a proactive technical leader in major projects, IFF technologies and IFF initiatives, and acts as a mentor to the creative design team.
Flavor/Seasoning Creation & Design
Leads high level global and regional projects
Recognized as a global expert in seasoning design and implementation in all categories and end uses
Manages key steps and key contacts in projects from creation to production.
Provides detailed input into regional and global Category initiatives and Technical Programs
Innovation and Technology
Recognized leader in driving innovation to internal and external customers
Successful execution of global customer projects from innovation programs
Proactively identifies future seasoning trends and helps prepare organization
Strengthens ingredient and process knowledge, inside and outside IFF
Understands competition capabilities, defines IFF gaps to Category and ensure the gap is filled
Promotes next generation of IFF technology and capability within the C&D team
Strong understanding of IFF technology strategy, areas for technology development, and core technology strengths
Contributes to R&D and program initiatives, and acts as an advisor to senior managers
Actively involved with R&D and has a detailed knowledge and scope of global R&D, projects and timelines
Drives strategic innovation programs to support strong project pipeline
Customer Intimacy & Technical Partnership
In-depth understanding of customer business strategy and market trends and global business
Well-developed technical network with global colleagues
Strong understanding of global capabilities as well as established and effective global network.
Maintains strong customer relationships and brand understanding, interacting with all internal and external customers
