Edwards Lifesciences is expanding its global technology capabilities with the launch of a new IT Innovation Hub in Pune, India. As part of our IT organization, we are seeking an experienced Principal Salesforce Developer to provide technical leadership for our Salesforce platform and guide a team of developers supporting critical commercial and service business capabilities across multiple regions.

This role combines hands-on Salesforce development with technical leadership, solution design, mentoring, and delivery ownership. You will partner with business stakeholders, architects, business analysts, and global IT teams to build scalable solutions that support Edwards' growth and digital transformation initiatives.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Lead and mentor a team of Salesforce developers, fostering technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Design, develop, and implement scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and Salesforce platform capabilities.

• Serve as the technical lead for Salesforce projects and enhancements, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security standards, and best practices.

• Conduct code reviews and establish development standards to improve code quality, maintainability, and platform performance.

• Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts, Product Owners, Architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Lead solution design discussions and provide technical guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Support integrations between Salesforce and enterprise applications using APIs, middleware platforms, and event-driven architectures.

• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, security, and compliance with established governance standards.

• Drive adoption of Agile delivery practices, DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.

• Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide leadership during critical incident resolution.

• Identify opportunities to optimize existing applications and processes through Salesforce platform capabilities and emerging technologies.

• Provide coaching, training, and knowledge transfer to team members while supporting career development and technical growth.

What you will need (Required):

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

• 6+ years of experience in Salesforce development and solution delivery.

• 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring Salesforce development teams.

 Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II (required).

• Strong expertise in:

-Apex

-Lightning Web Components (LWC)

-Salesforce Flows

-SOQL/SOSL

-Salesforce APIs and Integration Patterns

-Sales Cloud

-Service Cloud

• Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD deployment methodologies.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Strong understanding of Salesforce security model, sharing rules, profiles, permission sets, and governance.

• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional global teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience performing code reviews, solution reviews, release planning, and technical estimations.

• Salesforce Certified Administrator.

• Experience with Copado, Gearset, GitHub, JIRA, BitBucket.

• Proven experience integrating Salesforce with ERP platforms, SAS-based applications, and external customer-facing systems using APIs, middleware, and integration best practices.

• Experience supporting global implementations across multiple business units and geographies.

• Experience in highly regulated industries such as Medical Devices, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, or Life Sciences.

• Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence technical direction and drive adoption of best practices.

• Experience with AI capabilities within Salesforce ecosystem, including Agentforce, Einstein AI, and predictive automation.

• Experience with ServiceNow and Jira.
