We’re looking for a Principal Sales Executive to join Mercer Digital and drive growth across large enterprise clients in the Southeast U.S.
This is a senior individual contributor sales role focused on both new business development and expanding existing client relationships. The role is centered on large enterprise organizations with 3,500+ employees and requires someone who can lead complex sales cycles, build strong relationships, and work across internal teams to bring opportunities to close.
This position is ideal for someone with deep experience in the HRIS / HCM technology ecosystem, especially Workday, and a proven track record of selling into mid-sized to large enterprise organizations. We’re looking for someone who can generate pipeline, navigate complex buying processes, and act as the quarterback of the sales cycle from start to finish.
What You’ll DoDrive sales for Mercer Digital solutions across large enterprise organizations with 3,500+ employees
Manage both new client acquisition and growth within existing client accounts
Build and maintain a strong pipeline through internal connections, external networking, and proactive business development
Lead complex sales cycles from early opportunity identification through close
Act as the central point of coordination across pursuit teams, leading the sales process end to end
Partner with internal stakeholders to shape solution strategy, messaging, and proposal development
Deliver strong client presentations and lead executive-level conversations
Travel regularly across the Southeast territory to support relationship building and sales activity
Operate with urgency while staying organized, process-driven, and focused on results
What We’re Looking ForRequired Experience
Significant experience in the HRIS / HCM technology ecosystem
Proven success in a sales, business development, or account executive role selling complex solutions to mid-sized or large enterprise clients
Strong experience managing full sales cycles, from pipeline generation through close
Ability to build opportunities through both internal and external relationships
Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Willingness and flexibility to travel regularly
Preferred Experience
Experience selling Workday-related solutions
Experience working within the broader Workday ecosystem
Background in consulting, digital transformation, or enterprise technology solutions
Familiarity with other leading HCM platforms
