About the teamThe ZHL Sales Enablement team is a highly collaborative group at the center of driving performance and growth for Zillow Home Loans’ sales organization, with a focus on supporting Loan Origination teams. Their mission is to design, execute, and scale innovative training programs that directly impact sales outcomes and support ongoing development for Loan Officers beyond onboarding. By partnering closely with sales leadership, talent success, product, and operational teams, the enablement function ensures training initiatives are aligned with business needs and strategic priorities. The team is dedicated to continuous improvement, leveraging data and feedback to refine their approach, and plays a pivotal role in executing key sales rollouts, improving sales motions, and fostering a culture of operational excellence and talent development.

About the role

This is a critical, high-impact opportunity to shape the future strategy and performance of our ZHL sales organization. We’re seeking a visionary and strategic Director, Sales Enablement to lead all enablement initiatives for ZHL’s Loan Origination teams. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, this leader will serve as the strategic link between overall sales strategy, business operations, and frontline execution. This role will be responsible for defining, designing, executing, and scaling transformative enablement programs that directly impact sales performance, drive significant business outcomes, and define the future of ZHL sales. Additionally, this role will build out a sales enablement team that can grow and scale with ZHL's projected growth.

This role requires an exceptional degree of collaboration with executive sales leadership, talent success, product teams, and all operational stakeholders to ensure that enablement programs are deeply aligned with overarching business needs and strategic initiatives. This role will be responsible for developing and leading a comprehensive function dedicated to supporting continuous sales force development, driving large-scale strategic rollouts, and continuously improving sales motions and productivity across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Program Oversight: direct and scale a sales enablement team and program to support ZHL's evolving needs and projected growth.  Prioritize building training programs that focus on scalability as ZHL continues to evolve.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for establishing a world-class sales enablement function. Create the vision and strategic pillars for ZHL sales enablement, and translate that vision into actionable plans to build out the function. 

  • Develop and lead the ongoing training strategy for Loan Officers (LOs) after the new hire and incubation periods.Prioritize building training programs that focus on scalability as ZHL continues to evolve.

  • Strategically partner with Learning & Development, Product, and Sales Leadership to architect and implement transformative programs that significantly elevate sales force capabilities. Translate business strategies into scalable enablement programs that are practical and actionable for frontline teams.

  • Champion the development and optimization of rigorous processes for documenting, analyzing, and demonstrating the measurable impact and adoption of enablement initiatives.

  • Drive continuous innovation in sales training methodologies and content delivery, setting the standard for evolving with the dynamic mortgage sales landscape.

  • Cultivate deep collaboration with sales operations and analytics to proactively identify critical training opportunities derived from comprehensive sales performance data.

  • Serve as a pivotal strategic liaison between sales operations, sales planning, and executive sales leadership, translating data-driven insights into decisive enablement action plans to address critical business needs and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of communications, coaching, and change management for high-impact, large-scale organizational rollouts.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $167,900.00 - $268,100.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are
  • 12+ years of experience in sales enablement, training, or sales leadership, preferably within financial services or mortgage/lending.

  • Proven success building and/or leading enablement teams and managing cross-functional training programs.

  • Strong understanding of the sales lifecycle, sales motions, and field-level execution.

  • Experience rolling out large-scale strategic initiatives and change management in a sales environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to use data and sales diagnostics to inform enablement strategy.

  • Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Passion for coaching, developing talent, and enabling others to succeed.

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in mortgage lending or financial services, particularly supporting Loan Officers.

  • Experience in front line sales as an individual contributor or manager.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, LMS platforms, and sales analytics dashboards.

  • Comfortable working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment with a focus on innovation and scale.
