Ready to make connectivity from space universally accessible, secure and actionable? Then you’ve come to the right place!

E-Space is bridging Earth and space to enable hyper-scaled deployments of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and services. We are building a highly-advanced low Earth orbit (LEO) space system that will fundamentally change the design, economics, manufacturing and service delivery associated with traditional satellite and terrestrial IoT systems.

We’re intentional, we’re unapologetically curious and we’re 100% committed to innovate space-based communications and deliver actionable intelligence that will expand global economies, protect space and our planet and enhance our overall quality of life.

As an RF Integration and Test Engineer, you will be responsible for integration and validation of the entire wireless RF system for a LEO satellite constellation communication network. In this role, you will leverage your 7+ years of expertise in RF verification of products that have been successfully launched.

This position will report to the Sr. Direction of RF Systems Engineering and will work closely with systems, software, hardware and test teams that are responsible for delivering the communications payload.  This position is based in our Arlington, TX office.

What you will do

  • Understand system requirements and architecture in depth and formulate detailed test plans to validate the requirements.
  • Design lab setups for various types of tests, including radiated chamber tests.  Build racks and other test-rigs as necessary for executing the test plan.
  • Work with external vendors for procuring components and equipment necessary to build test systems.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams – hardware, software, mechanical, systems, etc. – in different time-zones to ensure that system requirements will be met during operation.
  • Define test plans and test strategies for lab, field and on-orbit testing.
  • Automate the test execution including control and configuration of test equipment.
  • Document test results, test coverage and other KPIs and communicate to all stakeholders regularly.
  • Deep-dive into test results and root-cause issues and communicate to the appropriate teams.

What you bring to this role

  • Bachelor’s degree in EE/CS/CE or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in RF test and validation in the industry with a successful product launch history.
  • Deep understanding of wireless communications principles, especially in the context of satellite systems.
  • Strong RF knowledge includes analyzing and testing link budgets, antenna signatures, multipath, etc.
  • Proficiency in test automation using Python or similar programming language.
  • Excellent problem-solving with a from-first-principles approach.
  • Flexible, responsive, and collaborative with an ability to work at a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.  Team player.

Bonus points for the following

  • Strong knowledge of 3GPP standards, preferably 5GNR.
  • Some satellite, aerospace, or related industry experience

We are redefining how satellites are designed, manufactured and used—so we’re looking for candidates with passion, deep knowledge and direct experience on LEO satellite component development, design and in-orbit activities. If that’s your experience – then we’ll be immediately wow-ed.
