Join a nationally significant research initiative that is improving care, service delivery and outcomes for older Australians living with frailty.

As Principal Research Project Officer within the Australian Frailty Network, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating complex, high-impact research projects from concept through to evaluation, working alongside leading researchers, clinicians, consumers and health system partners.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating end-to-end research projects across all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, dissemination and evaluation activities.

• Driving project governance, ethics and compliance processes while managing milestones, risks, timelines, deliverables and reporting requirements to ensure successful project outcomes.

• Building and maintaining productive relationships with researchers, clinicians, consumers, funding bodies, industry and government stakeholders to support knowledge exchange and collaborative project delivery.

• Supporting research translation and impact through the development of reports, presentations, publications, communication materials and stakeholder engagement activities that inform policy and practice.

• Completion of a bachelor’s degree in health, public health, health services research, or a related discipline, with subsequent experience coordinating complex research projects or programs in a research-intensive environment.

• Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end research projects, including planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, risk management, and successful delivery of project outcomes.

• Strong understanding of the research lifecycle, including ethics and governance processes, funding and reporting requirements, dissemination activities, and research translation into policy and practice.

• Proven ability to build productive and collaborative relationships with researchers, clinicians, consumers, government and industry partners, and other stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports, ethics applications, presentations, manuscripts, and other research-related documentation for varied audiences.

• A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities while contributing positively to a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing team environment.
