Position Overview
- Shape AI Strategy: Collaborate with company leadership to define and execute an innovative AI roadmap, ensuring alignment with our mission to lead in Visual AI
- Lead Innovation: Drive the design, development, and integration of advanced multimodal AI systems into our products, leveraging cutting-edge advancements in vision and language models
- Pioneer Solutions: Develop novel machine learning algorithms to tackle unsolved challenges in Visual AI, opening new opportunities for our customers
- Inspire and Mentor: Lead, mentor, and elevate a team of machine learning engineers, fostering technical growth and innovation across the organization
What We’re Looking For
- Expertise: PhD in machine learning, computer vision, or a related field, with 10–15+ years of professional experience in cutting-edge AI research and development
- Leadership: Visionary leader with a proven track record of driving successful AI projects and mentoring technical teams
- Technical Excellence: Deep knowledge of large multimodal models, fine-tuning techniques, and agentic frameworks, particularly in vision and text applications
- Visionary Thinker: A passion for innovation and a keen interest in applying AI to solve complex, real-world problems
- Collaborative: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams and with executive leadership
- In-Person Presence: Willingness to work from our Palo Alto office at least three days a week to engage closely with the team
