JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads cross-functional process improvements to drive business results including process controls, system improvements, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Identifies and drives root cause corrective action for nonconformance and failure investigations including customer, supplier, and internal issues.
- Acts as primary point of contact for customers to address and address customer issues, requirements, and expectations including review of contracts
- Develops and monitors quality metrics to assess process performance and QMS effectiveness.
- Plans and manages internal audits and supports external certification, customer, and regulatory audits
- Provides leadership and oversight to lower-level quality personnel in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues.
- Champions Lean and/or Six Sigma principles, methodologies, and tools to support achievement of business objectives.
- Plans, coordinates, and leads employee development training in quality methodologies including Lean and Six Sigma.
- Works closely with process owners to drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Communicates quality management system adequacy and effectiveness to top-level management through management reviews.
- Support the development and implementation of performance metrics.
- Supports all aspects of the quality management system.
- Assist with other QA duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred. Associate degree required.
- 8+ years relevant work experience.
- Experience with continuous quality improvement activities in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management Systems compliance.
- Demonstrated history of leading Kaizen events that eliminated waste and improved flow.
- Strong digital, written, and verbal communication skills
- Root Cause analysis and Continuous Improvement
- Value Stream Mapping
- Lean Six Sigma
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Manufacturing experience in the aerospace or electronics industry
- Six Sigma Black Belt / Green Belt Certified
