Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, architect, develop, and maintain software testing tool frameworks and solutions for OCC. Implement best practices.
  • Establish design principles for QA automation, Performance, Failover Testing, Present options and recommendations as needed.
  • Research various automation technologies, work on feasibility of implementation and provide statistics on return on investment.
  • Validate existing automation frameworks and optimize them for consistent quality.
  • Develop and maintain Jenkins pipeline for auto execution of test automation scripts.
  • Understand the data flow from Jira to Test Management tool and design generic workflows and debug integration issues between tools.
  • Look for opportunities for replacing manual tasks by automation and minimize the cycle time.
  • Research and develop automation frameworks for Data Analytics and Reporting applications.
  • Works in an Agile team throughout the Lifecycle to collaborate on the quality of analysis, design, development and testing.
  • Actively participates in the Sprint planning session and assist in creating stories with robust acceptance criteria while helping identify missing or incomplete requirements.
  • Document end to end test Business Process automation test strategy, implement it, and help prepare training materials.
  • Influence test teams in automation adherence and showcase value add to the respective leadership teams.
  • Implement agreed upon agile philosophies to ensure that all information system products and services meet quality standards, performance requirements, audit requirements, security rules are upheld, and external facing is properly represented.
  • Assists production support by testing time sensitive defects and providing advice on system functionality.
  • Participate in the communication and analysis of test results and patterns, providing a feedback loop to requirements gathering, design and development teams.

Qualifications

  • Strong design and development skills in one of the following technologies and tools: Selenium, Cucumber, Fitnesse Automation for Appian, Protractor and ServiceNow Automated Test Framework.
  • Strong design and development skills in CI/CD pipeline.
  • Broad based knowledge of Lifecyle development, change control management, test planning management.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to display methods of testing highly sophisticated systems, progressively diagnose system defects, and clearly communicate project constituents, key findings and learnings.
  • Strong communication skills, written and oral, analytical abilities, sound judgement and time management skills, ability to work effectively with clients (users), management and staff.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced Agile environment.
  • Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Data Analytics and Reporting Experience/Knowledge.


Technical Skills

  • Relational databases and query tools. (SQL Server, Oracle and DB2)
  • Automated testing tool experience (Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, ServiceNow Automated Test Framework, QTP, Protractor)
  • Strong Programming/Scripting Experience/knowledge in Java, Java Script, VB script and Python.
  • ETL tools such as Alteryx and reporting tools such as Tableau.
  • Experience with Robotic Process Automation software such as Blue Prism.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools like Jira, Zephyr, HP ALM, or SpiraTest and proficient in tool integrations
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
  • Strong understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong experience working with Linux OS.


Education and/or Experience

  • B.S. Degree in Computer Science, an analytical field, or equivalent practical experience required.
  • 10+ years of experience in the IT industry with 5+ years in Quality Engineering, tool architecture and orchestration including opensource and commercial toolset.
  • Experience in Agile methodology.
  • Experience in integration of Jira and Test management tool.
  • Strong communication skills, written and oral, analytical abilities, problem solving skills, sound judgment and time management skills.
  • Experience in creating automation scripts.
  • Experience in developing automation frameworks.
  • Experience in developing Jenkins pipelines.
  • Experience in the Options and Futures industry is preferred.
