We are looking for a Principal QA Engineer who will act as a recognized authority in Quality Engineering across the organization. In this role, you will shape automation strategy, define and own test governance, and ensure the highest quality standards across projects, products, and releases within a distributed systems environment.
You will design and evolve scalable automation frameworks using modern test automation technologies, with strong proficiency in TypeScript, ensuring robust test coverage, stability, and minimal regression leakage.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Strategy & Governance
- Define, maintain, and own test strategies and test plans for projects, products, and releases.
- Ensure compliance with CI/CD guidelines, SDL/STDL, and industry QA best practices.
- Provide formal quality sign‑off for functional, non‑functional, regression, and release validations across lifecycle phases.
- Maintain comprehensive test result documentation to support debugging, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
- Analyze, define, and execute test standards and procedures for complex solutions.
- Propose and monitor KPIs to track software quality and delivery performance.
- Contribute to QA methodology and framework evolution through internal and external forums, technical events, and initiatives.
Automation & Technical Excellence
- Design, implement, and evolve scalable automation test suites for complex systems.
- Establish robust test coverage strategies to prevent flakiness and regression leakage.
- Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate preventive actions across teams.
- Lead defect triage and debugging sessions to accelerate issue resolution.
- Build strong product domain knowledge, including business processes, scenarios, and customer requirements.
- Unify and orchestrate complex platforms to enable end‑to‑end monitoring and reporting of API consumption.
Business & Cross‑Functional Impact
- Understand business drivers and assess complex problems with broad impact on product quality and delivery.
- Analyze testing requirements across internal and cross‑Business Units.
- Collaborate closely with development, commercial, and cross‑functional teams to prioritize requirements and streamline execution.
- Support customers during UAT phases, providing guidance and validation.
Quality Engineering Guidance & Expertise
- Provide quality and automation guidance to development and QA teams across projects.
- Act as a reference point for QA and automation practices.
- Advise teams on test strategies, automation approaches, frameworks, and tools.
- Contribute to the consistency and maturity of QA practices across the organization.
- Communicate complex quality‑related topics clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Support onboarding and technical ramp‑up through expertise and best‑practice guidance when needed.
Qualifications
- Strong hands‑on experience in both manual and automated testing.
- Experience with modern automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Selenium) and test development using TypeScript.
- Solid knowledge of back‑end testing in distributed systems, including API validation and integration testing.
- Ability to define and implement comprehensive test strategies covering functional, non‑functional, and regression testing.
- Proven experience analyzing complex systems, identifying risks, and proposing preventive actions.
- Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
- Experience in monitoring KPIs and driving measurable quality improvements at scale.
- Proactive, quality‑driven mindset with strong technical expertise.
