Job Overview:
The Principal Project Accounting Adm provides solutions to problems that may be atypical or infrequently occurring based on practice and existing precedents or procedures. The work of the Principal Project Accounting Adm directly impacts the quality of the team’s work. They can communicate technical Project Accounting information to the team and suggest improvements to existing processes.
ResponsibilitiesKey Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Organize, track, and monitor Project Contracts
- Record new clients into the accounting system and ensure that submitted information is accurate and in compliance with vendor contracts
- Track timesheet hourly billing and prepare monthly invoices
- Track unbilled hours and project available budget
- Review of aging work in progress weekly
- Post invoices and record payments in the accounting system
- Contact clients whose accounts are late on payments and resolve any billing discrepancies
- File contracts in appropriate folders via the network
- Prepare various reports for internal management
- Review completed weekly timesheets for accuracy and assist as needed with the with the preparation of weekly payroll
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- 3-5 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree nice to have
- Billing and accounting experience a plus
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and to accept direction on given assignments
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Committed to client services and a team-based approach
- Dependable and flexible
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills
- Self-motivated and willing to work as a team in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of working environment of ERP systems
