The Presales Strategy & Innovation (S&I) Team

The Presales Strategy and Innovation team is responsible for driving strategic initiatives, enhancing operational efficiency, fostering professional growth and enablement, and providing critical support to the broader Presales organization.  This team plays a pivotal role in aligning Presales efforts with overall business objectives, optimizing processes, and ensuring that the Presales function is well-equipped to deliver exceptional value to our customers and that team members are continuously developing their skills and capabilities.


The Program Strategy and Transformation Lead Opportunity

As a Principal Program Strategist on the Presales Strategy & Innovation (S&I) team, you will be a key driver and owner of transformative programs and strategic initiatives outlined in the Presales 3-Year Vision as well as annual VMTs Initiatives.  This position will require thought leadership and strong cross-functional collaboration to standardize common processes, establish and champion standard methodologies to improve GTM velocity and efficiency, and cultivate a thriving organizational culture and community.  This person will frequently work directly with the SVP of Global Presales and the senior leadership team, acting as a strategic advisor.


What you’ll be doing 

  • Support Go to Market and Presales leadership by keeping the rhythm of execution humming and removing any obstacles that may arise along the way.
  • Orchestrate the planning process and health checks for Key Programs and Initiatives that deliver on Organizational VMTs.
  • Define and champion key performance indicators and metrics for all programs and initiatives to ensure progress, measure success, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Proactively identify, design, and spearhead the implementation of significant operational improvements, enhancements, and system customizations that meet business needs and elevate Presales capabilities.
  • Represents the Presales team as a key liaison in coordinating with other internal planning functions. (e.g. Product, People, Enablement and other GTM teams)
  • Establish and manage robust feedback mechanisms with Field Teams to capture insights on current and new processes, identifying strategic opportunities for improvement and innovation.    
  • Lead and drive complex, short-term deep dives and cross-functional project teams to structure and execute in-depth analyses needed to develop and present high-impact strategic recommendations.    
  • Manage stakeholders at all levels, ensuring timely, effective, and qualitative communication on strategic initiatives.    
  • Develop and implement programs and frameworks that support the enablement and professional development of the Presales organization, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. This includes identifying skill gaps, championing training initiatives, and promoting best practice sharing to enhance the overall effectiveness and expertise of the team.
  • Mentor and guide other members of the S&I team and the broader Presales community on program management, strategic thinking, and operational excellence.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • 10+ years of work experience with a significant combination of sales, consulting, GTM strategy, and engineering experience, preferably in engineering or product management at a tech company or strategy consulting.    
  • Expert-level problem-solving experience with a proven track record of delivering strategic business insights and impactful recommendations from complex data sets, both individually and in group settings.    
  • Demonstrated mastery in tracking, prioritizing, and driving multiple concurrent, large-scale strategic projects to successful completion.    
  • Exceptional ability to lead, influence, and build trusted advisor relationships across multiple levels and functions of an organization, including senior executive leadership.    
  • Outstanding and versatile communication skills, with proven ability to tailor communication style to diverse audiences, including executive briefings and large-scale presentations.    
  • Thrives in ambiguity, demonstrating exceptional ability to drive influence, clarity, and strategic direction in highly matrixed and complex organizational environments.    
  • Extensive experience working effectively with remote/distributed teams.
